Spoilers Combined Star Trek SDCC Coverage thread (potential Disco S2 spoilers)

I’m surprised CBS have any TNG era props left, weren’t most of them auctioned?

Like the ENT reference in the 2350s uniform blurb.

Either recreations or they borrowed them from people who bought them.

Where did you see that uniform bit?

PIC will be TNG styled.
Discovery will be Discovery styled.
Section 31 will be something else.
They all will reference each other, but will not address any styling difference. It will be like an inside joke. We all will just have to live with it.

All Kurtzman needs to do is say "We do not discuss it with outsiders", and that will be that!

Hmm, I was about to say it was in the link to TrekCore’s Twitter that you posted, but now I can’t see it! It was a photo of the TNG S1-2 command uniform with a black plaque next to it. It mentioned something to the effect that the rank pips were in a similar position to the uniforms of the 2150s but on the opposite side.

Interesting that the bat’leth blurb says that it was a gift from Commander Worf in 2381. Worf was Picard’s XO by that point in the novels, though I can’t remember if that was a plot point in a novel or not.

Ah I'll see if I can find it myself.

I've just been following the hashtags #picard #startrek and #startrekpicard on instagram and twitter.

Some observations I saw posted about the Klingon weapons

Ah, found it

One of the pictures looked like the Bajoran Logo. I wonder if we might see the Bajorans in this series and if they will be Federation members. Maybe Picard, with Sisko's help, succeeded in their mission to bring the Bajorans in to the Federation after all.

According to the description below it, it was given to Picard for his role in helping Bajor after the occupation.

According to Trek Movie, the description of Picard's civilian clothes says they're from 2399
https://trekmovie.com/2019/07/18/the-first-duty-sdcc-exhibition-reveals-star-trek-picard-details/

So if the show is still set in 2399, than either they moved the date of the destruction of Romulus, or the rescue mission was unrelated to the supernova.

I really hope that doesn't mean Klingons will be back in a bigger way.

I doubt they'll be the focus of anything. It's just prop, it'll probably be in Picard's house in early Season 1.

The plaque says the Bat'leth was given to Picard in 2381 by Worf, and the d'k tagh is said to be the one Picard was given when he was Worf's cha'DIch in Season 3.

Why would Robert (assuming that's Robert, he was the older brother) be holding a model of the NX-01, I thought Robert hated starfleet?

Also that's not exactly the same as the generations prop (obviously since Enterprise wasn't even a thing) this is the original:

The photo with the NX-01 toy was created for David Goodman's Picard Autobiography book, and the toy belonged to Jean-Luc.

EDIT: Ditto many of the other pictures. The biography book was a big influence, it seems.

According to TrekMovie, the plaque next to the ENT-E says Picard was promoted to Admiral in 2381. 2 years after Nemesis.

Some nerds are going to flip out at the Kurtztrek split delta being retconned into 2333 here.

These are really cool! Spot the USS Reliant (from the Picard biog book) mention top left!!
Picard serving on a Reliant was from the TV series (though in a deleted scene). So the Biography was referencing the series :p

Also even worse, Picard was only a Lieutenant Commander in 2333, not a Captain.

And that's OK.

And with one small detail (Picard leaving the E-E in 2381) that’s the novelverse effectively wiped out, as it has Picard still in command as of 2386.

Not sure about STO but guessing it’ll be able to work around it a bit easier. Countdown is out too since it had Picard as an ambassador in 2387 (was never a big fan of Countdown anyway).

Damn these people, are they gonna make me subscribe to All Access? And does that mean I'll have to watch Discovery to get my money's worth? Double damn them!

Also even worse, Picard was only a Lieutenant Commander in 2333, not a Captain.
According to the novel The Valiant, 2333 was the year in which Lt. Commander Picard, second officer of the Stargazer was promoted to Captain following the death of the Stargazer's Captain and the first officer suffered severe injuries which necessitated a medical discharge.

Oh huh. Guess they're acknowledging some of the novels then, or reading memory-beta.
