Don't forget to make your picks for Saturday! We are picking against the spread too. The favored team needs to win by more than the number of points listed in the "Final" column in order for the pick to be correct if you choose the favorite.

I'm in both groups as obnoxiousmodesty. Hopefully I'll fare better than last year, my worst one by far.
w00t! I got 12. I'll probably forget to pick next week though because I'm scatterbrained.
Just a reminder for those in the pro pick'em, mainly because I might forget too, There is a game Thursday Night so get that pick in as soon as possible.
Looks like I forgot to fill out the Favorites/Underdogs for this week. Oops. I'll be sure to get them next week. It'll be easier to do once I get a routine down.
Anyone want to do the Survival (Eliminator as it's called on ESPN) football this year? Pretty much the rules are easy. Pick a game each week you think will be the lock of the week, and you advance. Get it wrong, and you're out.

I'll join- it looks fun! I was going to be a rebel and try to pick a game that no one else has really picked, but since I haven't really followed any teams other than my own this preseason, I figured I would be safest to go for the definate lock. 
I'll join. Can you pick any team each week or must you pick a different team?
I forgot to mention the catch. Once you pick a team, you can't pick them again. So say you picked the Steelers in week 1. They will be off the board and you can't use them again unless you get eliminated and decide to do it all again.
Damn... that does make it a bit more difficult, doesn't it? I can see advantages to picking the good teams both early and late in the season... do you do the obvious ones early until you have a chance to see how everyone else is doing or do you save the obvious ones until the end when it's you VS someone else?
Most of the time I just guess. I try to keep the obvious teams until later, but you never know. It's up to you really.
That's what I figured, it's how most do them.
I'm in for the Survival Pick'em. I somehow managed to win last year. If I had made the opposite picks on our town's "Loser Board" (pick the team you think will lose), I could have won big bucks.
Just a reminder that you have 45 minutes to pick tonight's game if you haven't done so. Some folks miss the Thursday game sometimes so good reminders are always nice.
My hope tonight was either for the Steelers to win and cover the spread (since I picked them) or to lose. Sadly, I got neither. I have an incorrect pick and I had to watch the Steelers win a game
