Got to love a world where the dollar dictates everything.
If this does happen, probably spells the end of the Pac-12, a conference that has been around in some form or another for well over 50 yrsrs.
Interesting that SC and UCLA would go as a package, but considering how intertwined in tradition these two are,, how else could it go?
College football is changing so fast that it seems like moves like this are inevitable. It’s a whole new world.
As a big USC fan, I'm mostly in favor of this.
The only drawback I can see is this makes for some tough road games with extensive travel.
But it would be great to play Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin every year. That's competition that at least gives you a shot at the BCS. And we wouldn't have so many 7:30 kickoff times...
Washington State, Arizona, Oregon State, Cal etc. just aren't cutting it as quality opponents.

This latest move is just more of the big boys not giving a damn about anything except what can make them the most money. I'm an SEC hater but hell, at least we keep Vandy and Mississippi State around.

Yeah Colorado, Utah, and the Arizona schools into the Big 12 makes perfect sense but Oregon and Washington (and frankly, Stanford with Notre Dame) should be able to get into the Big 10.
It's a little surprising that Cal is being left out. Flagship of the system and all. Not great now maybe but when has UCLA been relevant in football in the last 20 years?

Probably has a lot to do with market size.
I agree. But if the plan is to only add two right now, UCLA and USC is the pair you want.
