In all honesty, I actually really like Colombian coffee. And I hate Starbuck's. Nothing to write home about, that's for sure.

They got these K-cups in at work of "Donut Shop Coffee." My God, that stuff was rancid. Worst coffee I've ever had in my life. But people here just seem to love it.![]()
I would love to participate in this thread, but I really don't know what are you talking about. Surely that diluted sludge they sell around your place is not really coffee...
I prefer Seattle's Best to Starbucks.
I agree. I like Peets the best, though.
.
Seems the landlord raised the rent and they just couldn't make it there. Fire camp coffee is notoriously AWFUL.. Usually just instant coffee dumped into one of those big thermo jugs... Bleagh!!!!

I think my uncle is right. Starbucks should change it's name to "Fourbucks" because everything there costs four bucks!
All kidding aside, I find I quite like Intelligentsia beans for home brewing. If I'm out and about, I generally prefer Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf coffee. I'm not so much a connoisseur that I can differentiate between different beans and brews, but I do enjoy a good cup of coffee more than I probably should.
^ No, that's an espresso.
Coffee, on the other hand, gives you time to enjoy the taste.![]()
Oh, I fully agree that espresso-brewed and drip-brewed coffees are whole different beasts, I just claim the right of espresso to the common name "coffee". If you want to call drip-brewed coffee-flavored hot drinks something, feel free. Just don't call it coffee.Espresso is to coffee what a stout is to beer. They're related, but not the same![]()

Ditto.Starbucks doesn't sell coffee but some dessert drink with a (very) vague coffee flavour so no, it's not really coffee.

I'm a coffee addict as well. I'll refuse to drink a bad cup of coffee. This may sound bad but I bring my own coffee blend to m familes houses when I go because none of them have good coffee.

Whether I go back to a restaurant or cafe depends on how good their coffee is. It doesn't matter how fabulous the food was, if the coffee was NBG, I won't go back.
I've never had complaints about the coffee I make for visitors. Of course that could be because my visitors have been too scared to complain, but I like to think that it's because I use a really lovely coffee bean that is ground as required. You might be ok here![]()
