CoD: WaW Map Pack 2 Out Tomorrow (11/6)

Also has a link to the trailer for Shi No Numa, the new Zombie level included with the MP, which appears to be a zombified version of the Knee Deep map.

The new gun certainly looks interesting. Reminds me of something from a Wolfenstein game.

I have to say, I think they're pretty damn good. Sub Pens is a tidy little run-and-gun map in a similar vein to Dome. Corrosion is decent, and feels like an additional part of the Roundhouse map with plenty of nooks and crannys to exploit. Banzai is by far my favourite though. A really well put together map that is awesome for TD and S&D.

Not had a chance to play the new Zombie level yet, but will probably get together with the guys and play it tonight. The video made it look a lot more open-plan than the other two, and it should be fun trying to unlock the new achievements too.
 
stand in front of the telephone in the comm room and hold X for a secret achievement on zombies.

The map pack rocks-played for 4 hours last night. I think I like Corrosion the best - it would be cool if they combined it with Roundhouse as one mega map.

Banzai is interesting, it lets you do a lot of flanking.

Sub Pens -we figured out how to hold it clean. Go to the bow of the ship, betty nearbye doorways and post up behind the sandbag walls-let them come to you. I haven't lost one round on the Pens yet.

Hehe, some guys tried that on us last night. Bomb Squad, Smoke, Rifle Grenades, and Frags soon put that plan to rest.

You must have had an organized team. I did. We didn't bump into too many enemy teams that were organized, though.:devil:
 
I LOVE THESE NEW MAPS.

So much so I'm seriously thinking about asking my girlfriend to go live with her folks for a few weeks.

Banzai is fast becoming my favorite map in the game. Love it.

Sub Pens is nice and tight and Corrosion has some great spots you can take people out from. Can't wait to get the fuck out of the office to go play.
 
Is it me or did it get easier to get points in W@W? I remembered it taking forever for me to level up.
 
Paying for a map pack? What a quaint concept. If TF2 wasn't just a bunch of files on my computer I would hug it.

Seriously though, I really loved both Call of Duty 3 and 4 multiplayer but couldn't get into CoD WaW for some reason. I did buy the Steam version when it was on sale though, so I might wait for them to patch in these maps then download it and give it another go.

That was my first impression-but now I think Corrosion is the best of the bunch. It was too easy to set up a patrol area on Banzai and dominate the other team. Corrosion is a confusing mess. Warms my heart.;)
 
Argh! Xbox Live has "scheduled maintenance" starting at 7am (UK time), and continuing for a rather vague "up to 24 hours", while it's double XP on WaW. Bastards.
 
Double points makes playing W@W so much more bearable. It takes forever to level up in that game. Seriously I ranked in top 5 in the last 3 games I played, whereas in COD4, I'm always bottom 5. Whatever, got some great shots today.
