CNN: "Star Trek" could rival "Dark Knight"

I think that it is difficult to match TDK dollar for dollar because of economic crisis.

I will be amazed if Trek 11 does as well as, or better than, TDK.

It would be a dream come true if people actually cared about Trek again.

I don't see it happening, but I certainly hope this film is a big success.

Maybe in the sequel they can cast Zac Efron as Gary Mitchell. That way they can get the 15-20 female crowd!

Once again, ST will NOT make more than US$500m.

As I said before, the people who have claimed this are also the ones who will be waiting for ST to deliver them from persecution at the hands of jocks, cheerleaders and, well, normal people.

Neither of these things are going to happen.

After being forced to sit through Mamma Mia at gunpoint by my step daughter, I told her I was going to take her to this movie..I showed her the 2nd trailer, and she told me..."YEAH..that Captain Kirk is HAWT!!!" and she's told all her friends that her dad is taking her to this film..and they are going as well...

This film is getting "Positive Buzz" so far...and after the NASCAR TV spots..who knows?..

I just want it with good story, great acting, state of the art special effects that are tied to the story..not the Gee Wizz Look What We Can Do (TM) school of special effects..and enough public interest that the franchise can rise back onto it's feet again...


But if it's a steaming turd like Nemesis, no one will see it..
