Cluedo revival

So I just discovered the Cluedo game show about six months ago. It's really fun. They combine your standard detective show with a gameshow, and people are playing only for bragging rights. It was on for four seasons in the UK and had five total casts, one for each season and one for the Christmas special.

My favorite casts are seasons 1 and 3, with season 4 being so off-base that I didn't even finish watching the first episode. The cool thing is that they used famous people in the parts. Like Professor Plum was played by Tom Baker in season three and David McCullum in season two. Ms. Scarlett was usually the "it girl" of the month, like Tracy Louise Ward or Koo Stark. If it came back, who would you want in the roles?

Reverend Green: Mark Williams, on the nose, I know, but c'mon
Professor Plum: David Tennant, not because of T Baker in the role before, but Tennant's studious manner
Mrs. White: Julia McKenzie, she was born to playa concerned old woman
Ms. Scarlett: Eleanor Tomlinson, since I don't support Poldark anymore I'd love to see her in something else
Mrs. Peacock: Jenny Agutter, I like her. She can do good or bad pretty easily.
Colonel Mustard: Paterson Joseph, because he is the man

I just found some of these episodes on YouTube. It's a hoot, seeing some of the actors playing the Clue characters.

RIght? I wonder how they prompted the actors on what to say to keep things consistent?

Anyone else have thoughts on who would be fun to cast?

As the moderator said, only the guilty one was allowed to lie. Everyone else had to tell the truth.

I've seen a couple of episodes with Tom Baker as Professor Plum, and it's obvious that he was totally improvising in places, with some pretty wacky stuff.

Yeah, but some of the questions would have been out of context, like what were you doing last week? How would an actor know. They must have been given a list of "facts".
