Closing credits: Cheese or Glory?

On the CD, it seemed a little forced, and perhaps dated, but set to those great visuals and following on from the glorious exit of the Enterprise and the wonderful narration from Nimoy, it feels completely appropriate, and actually pretty spectacular.

Anyone notice that the TOS theme makes its second big entrance precisely on Karl Urban's credit. Pretty cool, even as a coincidence, considering he was the biggest fan in the cast and the truest representation of a TOS character in the film.

I don't like the idea of buying it on iTunes because then it's entirely digital and you can't burn it to disc to have a hard copy.

You can burn CDs of music from iTunes. They allow it.

Wow I didn't think anyone would think of it as dated. Especially since the 2000s have been like 60s recall in style.

I thought it was well done the way Giacchino intermingled his themes within it. I loved the percussion use.

It was glorious, especially with the visuals. It truly felt like it was paying homage to TOS not only with the music, but with the snazzy, colorful landscapes. Like so many homage oriented things in the film, it put a big ol' smile on my face.

Very moving---from Nimoy's reciting of the opening lines to the credits with the beauitful colors and planets and the mixing of the new theme with the old--did people hear that? Great music.

As I've said in other threads, it was so choppy and heavy-handed, I felt like I was being beaten over the head with a Bat'leth.

It was great fun. The theater I saw this in Thursday night kept the lights off all through to the end of the credits and even a little beyond, and I think barely a soul moved the entire time (not a packed crowd however) My only wish at the time was that the music be louder! (fixed that with the soundtrack in my car the next day )

IMAX viewing was actually a small letdown, because as soon as the theme began and the directing credit appeared, the sound was muted and a recorded voice directed patrons to the exit!!! Then the music slowly came back in.

Fun visuals, a very nice version of Courage's theme and a grand nostalgic ending.

The end credit was so great! The planets were such a good recall of the roots of ST from the '60! It was perfect!
