Cliffhanger at the end of Countdown #4

So, the writers of the Countdown series have said that there will be a cliffhanger at the end of number 4, that will lead right into the beginning of the movie. Thoughts/theories?

I suppose the obvious one will be Nero vanishing back in time at the end of Countdown - then appearing right in front of the Kelvin at the start of the film.

The universe ends. Given what's at stake in the comic story, it's the only thing that makes sense.

A sobering thought but yes, it is logical given the direction the comic story is going.

That would be a truly sad ending to the Original Saga. Good news is, the new timeline has info on that star the Orignal one didn't so perhaps something can be done to prevent it this time.

Actually, I believe it's been stated that Star Trek online takes place after the events of Countdown in the prime universe. Just look at the uniforms.

OR, it's possible at the end of CD#4 we see Nero acting out his revenge on VULCAN Prime? That may just be Vulcan Prime we see in the trailer getting swallowed up!?

I think Nero will still be in the original timeline at the start of the movie as the 2nd trailer aparantly shows Nero during his escape from Rura Penthe in the 24th century.

I think Nero will still be in the original timeline at the start of the movie as the 2nd trailer aparantly shows Nero during his escape from Rura Penthe in the 24th century.

Meaning the comic may end with him going to klingon prison swearing revenge.

Or it could be that the cliffhanger is Nero taking the Narada and whatever the hell it is that's attached to it in back through time with Spock following close behind.
