If this is supposed to be the contemporary to the Vengeance, it must be massive! It looks awesome too! Although I wonder what it would be like if it had a similar saucer section with the holes punched out.

Ooh, think you're brave enough to refit the Enterprise?

Only problem I may have is that there are a lot of impulse engines. I think only the main two may be needed.

    The runabout is good idea,
but the ships are named after past / deceased starfleet Captain's who made a difference in Starfleet.

Admiral Archer, Captain of the NX-01 Enterprise, deceased in 2263

    Admiral Pike
, Captain of the USS Enterprise, deceased in 2259

    Captain Robert April
, Captain of the USS Enterprise, still alive.

    Captain Robau
, Captain of the USS Kelvin, deceased in 2233

    Lieutenant Commander George Kirk
, XO of the USS Kelvin, deceased in 2233.

Commodore Decker, Captain of the USS Constellation, deceased in 2267.

As for Paris, I'd have to make one up on the spot.

So ships named after the 24th century captain's: Picard, Janeway, and Sisko, would be in service during the late 25th century and I don't know if this line of ships would still be in service then.

Especially if Picard's grandfather was still in diapers, on mars.

i'd like to think they would still be in use even in the late 25th century, maybe a few modifications for that time and stuff, but still could be active, what class of ship is it, plus as i possible little side side project maybe designing the com badge and equipment, phaser, tricorder, ect...ect

Given developments with Captain April in the IDW comic (since this is from all appearances an Abramsverse ship), I rather doubt Starfleet would go for naming a ship after him. It'd be like naming a ship after Ronald Tracey post "The Omega Glory."

Awesome! But the registry numbers and the name is barely legible.

    Beautiful work, there... :)

I just realized that this is looking a lot like the proposed "NX-01 Refit" that was supposed to happen in Season 5 of ENT. This is much nicer, though -- better lines IMO.

    Cheers,

I don't want to update without any pictures but I love this model I did. So I'll just lay down the skinny

I got three more months left till I graduate for the Art Institute and well I got to finish my demo reel so I have been way to busy finish, but after I'm done and I will be devoting time into this and making her up to ILM standards.

BTW, totally geeking out here but a good friend of mine just got best in show and is getting an interview at ILM as a junior lighter so he might be working on the VFX for the next Star Trek Film.

But other then that, here's my plan.

    1. Clean up some Geo.
    2. Design interiors and outsource them to other FX artists.
    3. Re-Texture using Mudbox and new techniques I've learned in the last and next 3 months.
    4. Rig it
    5. Set up an animation
    6. Composite in Nuke (Dem lens flares)
    7. Put it on Vimeo and Youtube

So if you want to help out with interiors, and you're good give me a shout at chjohnson1990@gmail.com

Anyhoo I'll see if I can squeeze some time in and start updating again.

    Cheers,
    CJ

Edit: SO, I got poked around in my HD and found a couple of renders that I haven't uploaded here so here!(these are three months old)
