I've enjoyed all of the episode to one degree or another since the end of the Volkoff arc. Even the BuyMore stuff has improved a fair bit.

Yeah no shit. Luckily for me I don't take anything relating to Chuck's plot seriously in the least. Were that in an episode of Star Trek, I'd probably still be typing up my three page rant about B&B's contempt for the viewer. :rommie:

It's even worse than "Seriously you couldn't set a fucking time bomb" in the Voyager premiere.

Agreed - I'd discounted him just for that reason. Kind of dodgy about the revelation of who he was hired by, though. And as for the Agent X Files....iiiiinteresting.

Sarah throws Chuck a surprising relationship curveball as the CIA orders Vivian Volkoff assassinated. In order to prove Vivian's innocence, Chuck must put his trust in a dangerous ally – her father Alexei Volkoff. Meanwhile, Ellie suspects that her mother is interfering with the search into her father's past.

It sounds like this should be a good one. I've found the Volkoff arc pretty enjoyable so far.

Anyone still watch Chuck here?

I guess Agent X is an actual existing character instead of something Ellie will become, so who could it be? This could be their chance to bring in Pierce Brosnan as Timothy Dalton's nemesis. Or any chance for a Linda Hamilton reunion with Arnold Schwarzenegger? :p

Fun episode, and Dalton was awesome. The pirates having Uno, the breakfast scene, and Chuck's throwaway line, "Eddard, you should never let you kids keep dire wolves!" were all great.

But Vivian's transformation into evil ruthless father killing villain just doesn't feel right, it is like we missed a couple episodes of her character developing or something.

I'm still not sold on the idea that that's what's going on with Vivian. All in all, I enjoyed the episode, specifically the scenes you mention above. The in-sync Morgan and Casey was pretty hilarious, too.

I thought this was a really fun episode. Loved the Uno scene, the Song of Ice and Fire reference, and the scene with Casey and Morgan doing everything in unison. I'm really curious to see who Agent X is. I'm thinking it will probably be another big name guest star. I thought at first it might be someone we know, but I don't think there is anyone who could be involved with this stuff whose history we don't know.
My only real issue I have with the show is that I'm getting kinda tired of them trying to keep everything from Ellie. IMO it would just make things alot easier for everybody if they just told her, and quit sneaking around. But then again, that's always driven me crazy with these kinds of show.

I enjoyed the return of Dalton, but I had a hell of a time understanding what he was saying.

Maybe i didn't get it right but Agent X is either Chuck himself or it may become Ellie (my wish).

The files she found on the computer were about the Intersect and Stephen Bartowski may either have developed it for the government in which case Agent X is rather unimaginative or for Chuck.

However since Stephen met his family after all before his deatch he may have well planned way ahead knowing the circumstances of Chuck and Ellie and thinking Ellie may need a boost to even if it were for self protection (thus the computer being so attuned and configured to her person).

My conclusion would be that Ellie may get the Intersect too.. maybe even Intersect 3.0 so she can protect herself and her family should need be (and opening up new storylines). Either way we will find out in the season finale.

As to the episode.. very entertaining. Pirates playing Uno nearly killed me. Typical Chuck to ask for Uno but them actually playing was so awesome!

And love Ellie's "codename" Hot Mama :lol::lol:

I actually hope Agent X is Ellie. This show needs a real shot in the arm, and giving Ellie more to do, rather than dragging in another guest star, would be the way to do it. I like The Awesomes; I just wish they'd quit the "keep the truth from Ellie" business. It's just tiresome and not terribly rational.

It would be too on the nose, but I think that's exactly what they need right now. A game changer where she goes down a dark road, whether teaming up with Vivian or a lone wolf wreaking havoc on her own.

For me this show used to be "must see TV" viewing but nowadays its, "oh yeah I've got this on the DVR" kind of thing.

The way the ratings have been going, this is Chuck's final season. I hope they ramp it up and go out with a bang because I'm finding it impossible to keep my finger off the fast-forward button now.

Yeah, the writers have really lost their way. But every time they have a chance to really shake things up, they blow it. Yet, I like the characters enough to hang in a little bit longer.
