Chuck S3 promo

Time to get the Chuckwagon rolling.

I've missed Zach. :( The wait is finally almost over!!!

New Promo

Not sure about the new direction - sure, they had to do something different, but they've taken away the aspect that made the show unique and subbed in a far more ordinary nerd-becomes-ninja wish-fulfillment scenario.

Still, I doubt there will be another season and the ninja stuff shouldn't wear out its welcome so fast that this season becomes tedious.

I'm so hyped up for this, it isn't even funny. The additional six episodes NBC added on to the order was just the icing on the cake.

I'm not really worried about the super-ninja stuff, to be honest. This show, for the most part, has its tongue firmly in cheek, and no doubt Chuck will have just as many (if not more) screwball moments as he will badass ones.

Can't wait till January for more Chuck.

Note to the writers: Make sure the 19th episode (or whenever you start the season closing arc) works as a SERIES FINALE!!! Sorry if I don't have confidence in NBC's ability to keep shows other than 30 Rock, The Office, and Leno's snoozefest on the air because of cost-cutting measures.

Aren't promos supposed to entice you into watching the show? If so, that one fails in a big way for me. It looked absolutely abysmal. Which is odd considering how much I enjoy the show.

Why do you say that?

What is the timeslot for CHUCK in January? Is it supposed to take over the timeslot for HEROES, which still has about 8 episodes to go this season?

It is replacing Heroes and will air at Mondays at 8PM. It will have a two hour premiere on Sunday January 10 9-11PM

You are correct. I checked TheFutonCritic.com and Chuck takes over Mondays at 8PM.

From Jan 4 to Feb 8, Heroes will air Mondays 9PM. Starting Jan 18, it has the misfortune of competing against 24.

Because I don't see what they can do with "Chuck becomes a ninja" that we haven't seen a thousand times before. It will be cute for a while - enough to round out the season - and since I truly doubt the ratings are due for some amazing resurgence, that will be the last season anyway.

Chuck is well-written within the confines of its premise, but the writers haven't really demonstrated the kind of of imagination that can take this show to the next level. It started as fluff, and fluff it will remain.
