We pick up after the cliffhanger of last week's episode in Chuck's season-defining "mom hunt". And we ask just who we can pull from our dream list for this week's guest star? Or is that a nightmare list?

I'll call it a 'Chuck' even though it wasn't great overall, but had plenty of really great moments. The genius casting streak continues with Englund however. I'm undecided as to which side I want Mary Bartowski to actually be on.

Was this the first episode where Chuck never flashed?

Hopefully they won't drag out the "is she bad or good angle?" with Chuck's Mom too long.

Gave it a Chuck because it moved the central storyline of this season forward a lot.

I'm not too concerned with the stretching out of the yes/no concerning Chuck's mom because i think the writers learned their lesson with the endless and at the end quite annoying will they/won't they of Chuck and Sarah.. i think they have established a definite path for this storyline and maybe even accounted for the possibility that Chuck might not get a full season.

So i'm positive will see a continous movement of this storyline until we get to know the truth and finally see Volkoff (who might be another big actor).

I was never much iof a Linda Hamilton follower but i couldn't help it to notice how different she is from Sarah Connor (and not only physically). It was nice to see she can play someone else and not be eternally tied to a character that appeared in two movies.

Jeffster was a bit of a letdown this episode.. after they got picked to decorate the BuyMore i was expecting all kinds of mayhem and crazy things.. the aisle was a big letdown and i didn't quite understand why the Doc went all kinds of crazy in it.

Nice to see Chuck take charge and be fully accepted by pro's like Casey but they need to inject a little bit of "old school" Chuck now and then to lighten it up a bit.

They sure did a massive amount of digital "smoothing" on Linda Hamilton. It was distracting, especially in the car scenes with Chuck - parts of her face kept going out of focus.

One thing I like about chuck, they don't make you wait forever and drag out story lines. Chuck right up front told everyone that he met her, we had stuff happen, no beating around the bush, just get to it, that's what I like about this show.

With it's ratings Chuck doesn't have the luxury to drag things out, It's got to keep things moving so it can wrap stuff up if the end comes sooner or later. In a way it makes for a much better show. The producers of Caprica and SGU should take note of how to move a show along.
