This is part two of the two-hour Chuck season three finale airing on Monday 5/28 at 9pm (after part 1 at 8pm). The reason for two threads is because these are really two episodes and I am allowing for the chance to rate them separately.

Casey goes undercover to protect his daughter from The Ring, Big Mike receives some shocking news regarding the Buy More, and Chuck's father becomes the team's only chance of survival against The Ring.

This is the last Chuckday for season 3. Savor the moment and look forward to the season premiere of season 4!

1. I hope Shaw is finally gone for good. I've hated the character for the last several appearances.

2. I've believed that Chuck's mother has been alive for a couple of years no, so the ending wasn't much of a surprise.

3. I'm glad that they finally blew up the Buy More and are giving Chuck something else to do. I wouldn't be shocked to see some crazy escapades of Big Mike, Jeff, and Lester next season though.

Well, Chuck's did have the same old cliches... villain returning from the supposed dead... supposedly dead relative still alive... nobody believes Chuck... CIA trying to shut down the project... Chuck wants to quit the spy life but can't.

I really hope things improve next season. I love this show, but I still recognize some lazy writing.

Are they officially renewed? Blowing up a major show location seems like something they would do if it was over, even if they did set up the next season just incase.

It's on NBC's fall schedule in its regular timeslot, so I'd say it's been renewed.

Awesome, awesome finale. I know Chuck does a lot of the same things over and over again, and its storylines are never terribly complex, but it does it all so well and with so much fun that it really doesn't matter that much. I'm really looking forward to next season, especially since I never expected this great show to make it past its third.

Awesome awesome finale, so now Ellie knows, finally, really good ending, but kind of obvious they had to set him up with something to be a spy about, I mean he does still have the Intersect and all, they can't let that asset just walk around and do whatever it wants, that was the reason he had handlers in the first place.

Can't wait to see where this goes with his mom, I just hope he doesn't keep this all secret from Ellie cause she doesn't want him to be a spy, how sad if he does.

I was worried that chuck's and sarah's relationship was going to get rocky again with shaw being back, or that somehow chuck was going to screw it up somehow, but so far I'm pleasantly surprised to see it doing well.

Looking forward to seeing where the Alex/Morgan/Casey thing goes. The actress is really beautiful btw. Oh, and also seeing Sarah as a brunette was neat, she was very stunning as a brunette.

Well, can't wait to see where they take us next season, and I hope we are done with Shaw for good now, time to move on.

See people? This two episode finale is why you don't give out "excellent" ratings like candy...they should be reserved for episodes like this.

While I can't disagree with the assessment that the writing was going through some motions we've already seen, they did it with style and introduced lots of new elements to keep things fresh. Somehow a silly show like Chuck managed to emotionally resonate more for me than either of the finales for Lost or 24, which is no small accomplishment considering how surprisingly good 24's was (Lost...um, yeah). All the actors did well with their parts, big and small. From Chuck and Ellie to Big Mike and Jeffster (who I mostly can't stand), there wasn't one weak link. Even Alex came off as an appealing character which is good considering it looks like she'll be added as a regular next season. It's a shame that Chuck and Ellie's dad was killed off--Bakula was awesome in this role (unlike his role in a certain Star Trek shjow). I really don't want the writers to bring him back since it would cheapen the death.

Who's going to start the season 4 countdown?

This finale was pretty darned good. Not sure what Sheep is talking about since Lost's finale was awesome and 24's was a steaming turd....

Anyway, my only complaint is the Jeffster video didn't get enough love. Blaze of Glory was an inspired choice... it should've gone longer, and it should've been playing over the destruction of the Buy More... oh, and that song really needs the backing vocals to kick in for the chorus. Some squandered potential there I fear.

What's funny is that the love polygon stuff soured me on the show so much that I didn't even notice the formula in the finale. I was happy that Sarah wasn't going to run into Shaw's arms or something stupid like that.


Anyway, I'm hoping that there is special significance to the bracelet. The "boy" part of the bracelet was broken and left with the father - which is exactly what happened to Chuck. This then implies that Mary has plans for Ellie (since "girl" part of the bracelet was still connected to the chain).

Knowing that they are pushing the family drama angle, I'm hoping this means that Ellie becomes the big bad of the next season somehow (Intersect 3.0 or whatever they make up). It would make her character much more interesting now that she knows everything and would give Chuck a more interesting adversary than "the guy who banged my girlfriend".

lol I loved the Blaze of Glory Jeffster cover... Bon Jovi was the first album I bought when I was a kid.

I'm bummed that Chuck's Dad was killed off since I really liked Bakula in that role, but it was done in a very good way. Hopefully with the BuyMore being destroyed that means the show has evolved past it, although it'll be interesting to see how they deal with the characters from the BuyMore like Jeffster & Big Mike. Obviously Morgan has been brought into the team, although with Chuck saying he's retired I'm guessing he'll try to keep everyone out of the loop at the start of the season anyway.

I wonder who winds up being Chuck's Mom.

Wow. They brought the roof down and Jeff and Lester took the fall for it. Did anyone else get a shudder when Jeff explained his attraction to Ellie? "She's just like Chuck, but with lady parts"? He gives you just the right level of creepy. Any more, and it just wouldn't be funny.

I wonder who winds up being Chuck's Mom.

My vote is for Lynda Carter. Mainly because Sarah Lancaster would be soooo believable as her daughter. In fact, if they plan on doing a Wonder Woman movie in the near future I would cast Sarah as Diana and have Lynda Carter cameo as Hipollyta, Queen of the Amazons.

I can see Scott Bakula coming back from time to time as well. In the form of previously recorded messages to play when certain events happen or protocols enacted as part of his contingency plans.

I think Stephen Bartowski will be back. Bakula is just too good in that role to kill off completely.
