only one small question:

how is chuck science fiction and fantasy?

'Cause there's a neurological computer database uploaded into his brain, a technology that does not exist anywhere in the real world? And that's to say nothing of Orion's fancy gadgets.

That, plus it is a pure fantasy. Nerd gratification to the extreme.

Three years ago the title character was a couch potato video game addicted college drop out (expelled), working a dead end retail job he hated, living with his sister and her boyfriend, and hung up on a girl he hadn't seen in years. And look at him now.

Fantasy. With a tad of sci-fi thrown in. Thus, we are in the Sci fi & Fantasy forum.

Fantasy.

Way to totally crush my dreams!

Naw... that pretty much described me. Living with my Dad, working a dead-end retail job, expelled from school and hung up on a girl I hadn't seen in years.

Got a real job, got back in and finished school, have my own place and got a girl.

Okay, I'm not a super-spy with a computer in his brain, but close enough.

That was really enjoyable. I was curious to see how they'd have Chuck+Sarah, super spy couple play out and it actually made sense with how everything else in the show has played out.

This is definitely something that impressed me quite a bit. The show has almost completely changed its premise from the first two seasons, but it happened in such a natural way that it's still very much the same show.

Mmm...not exactly "natural." They've done a 180 from the days when the premise was, "Chuck is great just as he is - nerd beats superspy - if only he'd realize it." Now his career objective is to be a superspy? But that means he must give up Sarah. Oh wait, he and Sarah can still be together and keep their jobs. Then why were they ever worried about...oh frak it! :rommie:

The permutations this show has gone through to hang onto some kind of premise and keep reasonably fresh is about as natural as what you'd see walking out of a Hollywood plastic surgeon's office. But it's been fun, so I give them a pass.
