Chronological Episode Order

First, as I am new to this forum, allow me to say hello to everyone! I am a long-time Trek fan who has been a member of other Star Trek forums, but am new to TrekBBS. I'm eager to engage in all manner of discussion related to Star Trek!

Now, allow me to admit my "alterior motive" for joining at this particular point in time. ;) ...

A small group of us fairly recently completed the lenghtly and tedious (although very rewarding) task of listing all 705 live-action Trek episodes and films in chronological order as they happen in the Star Trek Universe. This was truly a labor of love, and we have recieved a lot of support from other fans during this process. We know we are not the first ones to attempt this, but we think you'll agree that we have put the most time and thought into it, and have come up with what we believe is the most accurate and logical list available anywhere!

The ultimate goal of this project is to watch the Trek universe unfold all the way from beginning to end as if watching it for the first time. I would love to take any of you "along for the journey" who are interested.

To that end, I wanted to let you all know about our blog "The Star Trek Chronology Project". Here you can find our chronological list, as well as a detailed explination of our process in creating it. You can also follow along as we blog and discuss while the Trek Universe unfolds before us.

I have just recently begun watching through the list and blogging (currenly on episode #7), so this is a great time for anyone who is interested to jump on board.

We also encourage any of you who have the DVD's (or Netflix which will be streaming all Trek soon, I believe!), to watch through it with us.

Feel free to comment on posts as we go and engage in discussion regarding episodes, story-arcs, and anything else relating to the unfolding of the Star Trek saga.

In the mean time, I also hope to engage in lively discussions with you all here on TrekBBS!

Thanks in advance for your warm welcome. Let's talk Trek!

Cool project, I've been thinking about doing something like this for quite some time. I'm currently in the middle of re-watching all of Trek, so I won't be joining in, but I guess I'll follow the blog from time to time.

My own chonology list is a bit different, though. It does end with Voyager's Living Witness. When the alternatives are Nemesis or Abramstrek, watching this delightful episode last constitutes "going out on a high note".

Thanks!

Yeh, we debated "Living Witness" for a while, but it seems like such an afterthought to me. I actually enjoyed AbramsTrek, and appreciated the link to the "Prime" Universe in the form of Ambassador Spock.

To be fair, "Living Witness" is in fact the latest episode chronologically, and as such the only instance (other than "Insurrection" whos placement is somewhat unclear and contradictory) where we made a dicision based on taste rather than more pragmatic reasons.

Feel free to follow along, and good luck with your own viewing! :)
