Christmas Carol Trivia Challenge

Let's play a little trivia! Here's how it works. A person posts a question or challenge problem related to Christmas or holiday songs. The next poster who gets the correct answer will ask the next trivia question or problem. Here's an example.

Poster 1: In "The Twelve Days of Christmas," what's the cumulative total number of gold rings "my true love gave to me" up to the eighth day of Christmas?

Poster 2: The answer is 20. (Five gold rings on the 5th day, five gold rings on the 6th day, five gold rings on the 7th day, and five gold rings on the 8th day equal 20.)
Next Question: What were the colors of the candles that would've matched the hair in Grandma's wig?

Poster 3: The correct answers is "blue and silver." (Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer)

Now to start off ...
What's the only traditional Christmas song to mention the name Satan in its lyrics? :)

"Have Yourself a Merrry Little Christmas" from Meet me in St. Louis

Going back to the Chipmunks, what does Theodore want for Christmas? :)

Here's one: There is ONE DEGREE OF SEPARATION between Star Trek: The Next Generation and "The Christmas Song" (Chestnuts roasting on an open fire...). What is the connection?

It wouldn't be "Christmas in Killarney," would it? It was based on a Christmas leprechaun movie in 1980s.
^Actually, the song has been around since the 40s, and was recorded by Bing Crosby on his "White Christmas" album. It was just used in the Rankin/Bass special.

It's one of my Mom's favorites. :D

So, you got it right. Your turn!

Bing Crosby, who sang "White Chistmas," was related to Denise Crosby, a.k.a. Tasha Yar on TNG. But there's no connection there, as Bing Crosby didn't sing "The Christmas Song." (Well, maybe he did in his lifetime, but I don't think he recorded one.)

That's not it. It's interesting, but not the connection I'm going for. :)

OH! I think I've got it. Mel Torme wrote the lyrics for "The Christmas Song" and his son (Tracy?) wrote for TNG.

I knew it had SOMETHING to do with Mel Torme.

Cool. I guess I was right in a way.

Here's an easy one. Musician/composer John Williams has written countless musical scores for dozens of movies. What particular title or theme did he write for Home Alone featuring young Macaulay Culkin as a boy stranded at home durng the holidays?

There were quite a few Christmas carols in the movie...I'm not sure which one you mean

The end song (titles?) it was 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas"
