Chris Pine as Jack Ryan

I was watching a movie with Chris Pine in it where he played Jack Ryan. Someone in the room said...."that kid."

I replied "That kid is the captain of the new Enterprise. That kid is James T. Kirk."

I thought he did an acceptable job as a young Jack Ryan. Better than Ben Affleck, but not as good as Baldwin or Ford. I was a little disappointed that the movie was a reboot, telling the origin story again, instead of casting Pine as Jack Ryan Jr.

Maybe if they'd done that there would be a new series of Jack Ryan movies. Junior had a good story in one of the books, can't remember which one at the moment.
