Children of Men...Netflix...ANGRY FACE!

So I set out to watch Children of Earth tonight because Netflix recently added it to their Instant Streaming.

BUT Part 2 is only available on disc! :scream:

1, 3, 4, and 5 are streamable...but not 2! Booooooo!

I mean, I've seen it before, and I know what happens in Part 2, but I still felt like ranting.

I'm done now. Carry on. :p

EDIT: I meant Children of Earth. Dammit!

I thought this was going to be about how you got Children of Man instead of Children of Earth in the mail. Still sucks though!

So if they're going to stream a mini-series, what's the point if they don't put the whole thing on? Was this some sort of weird "force use of the other media" sort of thing? I men it's no different than if Netflix offered only 4 of the episodes on disc but if you wanted the fifth you had to stream.

Have you been in touch with them? Maybe someone there is brain dead and didn't realize it was a 5-part story?

No, Part 2 shows up on the menu, but it's specifically listed as "Disc Only."

Some random shows have been like this. I think it might be a rights issue or something.

Which doesn't make sense because aside from the fact there isn't anything in CoE 2 that is any different than the other 4, all rights, etc. for a mini-series are treated as one entity. Otherwise it defeats the purpose of it being called a mini-series. If this was, say, Season 2 then OK maybe something went pear-shaped with "A Day in the Death" or "Meat" that prevents it from being streamed. But what happening here is the equivalent of, say, Genesis of the Daleks being streamed but episode 2 being omitted. At which point you might as well ask why bother releasing it. As it is, the Blu-Ray for CoE is for sale here in Calgary for $25 so if I were in your position I'd just say nuts and go buy the thing (which I understand may not be an option depending on location and whether CoE is available for such a low price).
