Chemistry

Some actors/actresses have great chemistry with others...Shatner/Nimoy have it, throw in D'kelly/McCoy, and there's just something magical there...

Sometimes..the magic just isn't there. Some may disagree, but Picard/Pulaski just didn't have it, IMO. Nor did Worf and Troi..IMO

So....who had chemistry with each other, and who, for whatever reason, didn't seem to mesh too well

The Doctor and Seven played off very well in the scenes they had together, Seven and Naomi too.

Archer was just about chemically inert with everyone, apart from a few fizzes with Trip and Tpol.

Kira and Jadzia were good, but TBH I can't remember many Sisko/O'Brien moments - not saying that there weren't, but I suppose it wasn't that memorable to me if I can't remember them.

Oh, and I really should have mentioned Ben and Jake Sisko, I don't know how I forgot about that.

Civil Defense was the episode that came to my mind. They didn't get that much stuff together, but I think that when they did they worked well.

Ben and Jake were one of the shining relationships of all of Star Trek series combined, in terms of chemistry the casting of the two actor really works.

Neelix and Kes, what they had at first was seemingly special -- but it wasn't. It would have been fun to show them as the couple who just couldn't keep their hands off each other. Running back to their quarters, sex in the supply closet during breaks, making out in the turbo-lift between stops, that sort of thing. Maybe it was simply a case of Kes not being sexually mature enough at the beginning of the series. What developed was board-line sad.

The Trinity, of course, Kirk-Spock-McCoy... were awesome.

I am going to say the unpopular opinion, but Picard-Pulaski DID have chemistry. Even though the characters were usually at odds, the actors chemistry was well played. Given more seasons, we would have seen even better chemistry from two good actors. I liked when Pulaski admitted she looked up to Picard and it was the reason she asked for the Enterprise. I also liked the scene after Picard discovered Pulaski had performed his heart surgery.

Janeway-Chakotay had very good onscreen chemistry.

O'Brien-Bashir had good chemistry. It is one of the few things I like about DS9. I also think Quark-Rom and Quark-Odo were good matches.

Porthos had good chemistry with everyone... too bad it was the only good chemistry there.

My two favorite combos in all of Trek would have to be Quark and Odo's relationship and Bashir and O'Brien's. Fantastic writing, always had me in stitches

I always thought that the despite Kirk/Spock having the chemistry they just seemed like an old married couple most of the time, which just turned out to be boring IMO, though Spock/Mccoy had this thing that was just great, they didn't hate each other, you could feel how they care of one another and yet all of their discussions was amazing, turning the two of them much more interesting watching than Kirk/Spock.
