i drew this a while back on paper with all of the different views, this one is a top view i did on microsoft paint... which takes forever and its not even close to being finished... its supose to be from the same era of ships as the enterprise e, being that it is more of a battle ready ship to defend against borg (it features a rather large fortafied front end for frontal assults, and a "beam emiter" to section the work load from the main defelector [the reason being that iv noticed that the main defelector is constantly having to be "reconfigured" to suit different purposes, the "beam emitor" will be set up with these reconfigurations standard]... i want it to be not much larger then the original enerprise so i guess its a light to middle sized ship so as to be more manouverable, but armed simularly to the enterprise e... i know the escape pods are probly way outa proportion but whatever........

i just wanted to ask you guys if you had any fresh ideas to throw into the mix.

Your images aren't showing up; you need to paste the URL for the .jpg file itself into the image tags, not the URL for the Flickr page that gives you the size options for the image.

Nice hand drawings!

If you like to work with vector based artwork, look for inkscape. It's a free download and works like CorelDraw.

If you prefer working with pixels, try The Gimp. Another free download.

And of course, if you want to dabble in 3-D modelling there is Sketchup for really basic stuff and Blender when you are ready to really take it to the next level.
