Chaser's War on Everything - In Due Season

I think Kevin Rudd's election hurt them somewhat, he's just too boring to make fun of. Their stalking of Howard was always good for a laugh on the other hand.

Rudd doesn't make it easy for them to get at him. He seems to be constantly all over the world and unlike Howard he doesn't go one nice long walks where the Chaser can pester him. In fact they did that joke the other week, they caught up with John Howard on his walk to annoy him because Rudd isn't as available as Howard was.

As for the BBC... I don't know if I've seen a British sketch show in a long time.
no question the BBC does not have its own version of Chaser, but it does air Chaser (the international highlights episodes)on BBC 4, and with the current Chaser season filming some stuff in the UK, I think it is worth at least a pilot.

Watched the second last episode last night. There were parts of it which were funny, while others I just couldn't laugh. It was interesting to see Chas do Osama again.

Yeah, it was alright... but it just seemed silly to do it in DC. How do you expect people to react to a guy in a costume when he has a camera and sound guy with him?

The "do you have a comment?" bit was nice though. :lol

Anyways watched the final episode last night (well the repeat on ABC2). I thought it was okay. What Chas did was ... um ... different and interesting. To put himself through was different. I had a good laugh when he went to Italy, and especially when he fell over and pretended that he was hurt.

Also was good to see some of the highlights from previous years. Loved seeing the Gary and the Trojan Horse.

It will be interesting to see where the boys go next with the Chaser brand.

Was this week the last one? I haven't seen it yet.

But yeah, I wonder what's next for them. :)

Holy shit, the Chas sketch. Botox!

They were clear it was the last "War on Everything" but that the Chaser would be back. Maybe they'll start doing mini-series "The Chaser in Europe" or "The Chaser in the USA". In another year we'll be at a Federal election, if they don't do anything between none and then you would think they would return for a short series based on the that.

I figure getting arrested outside of Australia would be a bad thing though. But having them do an election special would be genius. :)

So that's that. The end to the War seemed quite abrupt to me, but it was a nice final episode, ridiculing lots of different groups and surely offending some people too.

I really like most of the Chasers, hope they are successful with whatever they'll be doing next.
