characters who you want to see more of

I just read the recent Cast No Shadow and have to say I really liked the characters of Miller & Kaj -- in fact, I wouldn't even mind reading a full blown backstory of Miller & Kaj.

Got me thinking of other trek characters you'd like to see more of....for me, besides the Miller & Kaj backstory, I'd love to see anything with Sam Lavelle (of TNG's Lower Decks) and anything with Soleta (from NF). Think both of them have a lot of potential.

Interested in hearing what other characters folks wish they would get more of.

The bickering Bickleys! They were the Enterprise's husband and wife, B-team conn and ops officers, in DC comics' first TNG miniseries. They wore superhero/WWE versions of the early TNG uniforms, complete with capes. And they argued. A lot.

I'd also like to see what became of Peter Kirk after "Sarek"

A few characters I've wanted to see again have reappeared. I wanted someone from the Starfleet Academy game/novel to reappear, and Vanda M'Giia cropped up in Myraid Universes' "Tears of Eridanus". Yeah, it was an alternate history, but close enough. Lamia ("Bloodthirst") had a cameo, too.

Yay! I have to admit to having had a boyhood crush on Mrs. Brahms back when I first saw "Booby Trap" - perhaps TNG's most effective nerd fantasy episode.

One day I will get to read that ... after a giant pile of other TNG-R novels I need to read first. Story of my TrekLit life. Not that I'm really complaining, I prefer the continuity, and happiness is the road and all that jazz.

I would love to see more of Faur and Elfiki from the TNG-R. Elfiki has gotten a little more "screen time" in the last couple books, but so far Faur has pretty much just been a background character.

I'll go for Major Cenn Desca. Hopefully he'll have a role in the upcoming Typhon Pact two-parter. Given that it involves major events in the Bajoran system, the Bajoran Militia liaison might well be an important player. As it stands, he's one of those characters whose creation was a good move but who didn't get much chance to shine before DS9 went on its hiatus to emerge four years later.
