Character Ratings: Vash

I liked her, but I think she was best playing off Picard, not Q. I would have liked to see her in one of the ovies. Not sure how, but that's one of the many reasons I'm not a screenwriter.

4. Come to think of it, I kinda wish I had voted her lower. She mostly sucked. I did like when she ditched Picard for Q; that was pretty cheeky.

I give Vash a "5."

She was great in "Captain's Holiday," but any other character could have taken her place as the damsel in distress in "Qpid" (incidentally a favorite of mine, because I am a big fan of Errol Flynn's swashbuckling action film "The Adventures of Robin Hood" from 1938) or as "the excuse" for Q to make an appearance on DS9 ("Q-less").

10. I thought she was a very cool and delightful character, particularly in "Captain's Holiday". Trek was short on non-Star Fleet human characters which is a shame. As much as I liked all the principled Star Fleet characters, Vash was a breath of fresh air. Definitely a stand-out.

5 - fun in Holiday, meh in the rest except when she sits in the big chair in the miniskirt. Yum!

7- While she was a fun change, she was never shown as much more than a toy for Picard

8. Good character. Picard needed some of the stuffiness taken out of his uniform from time to time.
