Apparently you're not supposed to pick your animal guide.. but if you could?

I would want a dolphin. I would WANT an Eagle.

My cat too! I just think that she has a little bit of the wild in her but most of it in her imagination.

I'm sure Chakotay said it would offend your animal guide to name it and then Janeway saw a gecko. That B'Ellana tried to kill hers.

I'm thinking Fox for you Sophie. Don't ask me why, I know no body here, lol. I shall start assigning critters now to anyone who asks

My animal guide is a brown bunny rabbit.

2 years ago, I found a baby brown bunny rabbit huddled in a corner in my garage. I opened the door so he/she could leave, but ended up feeding it a bunch of times. In the spring I found a "teenage" bunny in my back yard, just sitting...staring. I'd see him around every few days. Over the past year, there's a full grown brown rabbit that just hangs out in my yard...sitting...staring.

Rabbits are inquisitive but cautious creatures with acute hearing and speed. I'm a Rabbit in the Chinese Zodiac.. proudly so.

In the TV-series we were never told what animal Chakotay's animal guide was.
By reading the books, on can get the impression that his animal guide is a bear or a cougar.
Until Jeri Taylor reveals that it is a snake in the book "Pathways".

A wolf should have been more logical than a snake. I can't understand why Jeri Taylor did choose a snake. She was involved with the writing and production of the series and should have knew something abouta wolf as Chakotay's animal guide.
