Chains of Betrayal is now Online

Hi everybody,

My name's Racan Souiedan. I'm one of the writers/directors/producers of Star Trek: Chains of Betrayal, which is a (very low-budget) Next Generation fan film made in Vancouver, BC Canada over the past few years. The episode was written to take place in season five, shortly after the events of "Unification". We went for a slightly absurd approach, but aimed for a decent script that featured most of our favourite elements of the program.

I just wanted to let you know that the film is now available in its entirety on Youtube. If any of you were waiting, thanks so much for your patience. Our knowledge of the fan community was pretty limited going into this production, but I'm amazed at the number of great projects either completed or in progress.

We're happy to have people screen the film in any capacity. We made a small DVD pressing, but those are all gone, so if any of you are running conventions and would like to show it, please just get in touch and you will have our blessing.

Thanks so much,

Racan Souiedan

Thank you for putting this online. It has been used by some sellers of Torrent software who claimed they have places you can download it... and I purchased the software, only to discover they didn't have it. I am really grateful for your decision to share it, and I have assigned it to my blog no. 92, vis: http://startrekreviewed.blogspot.com/2009/06/92.html . It may be some time before I review it, but I placed news of it's renewal at the top of my website tonight!

I run a fan film website, http://startrekreviewed.blogspot.com/ which attempts, among other things, to include listings to every fan film which I can find and which is available for viewing, watching in streaming video, download, or purchase on DVD on the web. For the moment, I am listing that this film's home base is still Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Interesting storyline. Whats with the first part? You can't move it once you pause, just goes back to the beginning.

I think there's a youtube problem with the first part. Although it plays, it has no time indicated and the slider doesn't move.

Barbara, I'm sorry that Torrent site is trying to attract people to the site through false advertising. Thanks for posting our info on your wonderful site.

I don't really know much about the pausing problem, as I'm not the one who uploaded the film. I think only the first part has this issue, and as it's likely to be the most/only watched section, I'm not sure if we'll get around to fixing it. I'm sorry about the inconvenience, though.
