CGI Enterprise, put the Blue Warp Lights in one episode

DumbDumb2007

Commander
The Enterprise redone in CGI. The ship looks sharp redone but it is still a little plain and 1960ish which is the intention. But it still looks DAMN Good !
Who think that the inboard warp field grills on the ships Warp Engines should be illuminated with the Blue Lights for just one episode. It could be redone in a Remastered Season 3 Episode. Since the Illuminated Warp lights began in Star Trek-The Motion Picture it would make sense that Scotty took the "covers Off once in a while ..." and let the engines light up for just one show to see how the ship performed ! It would look sharp !

Too busy. The TMP ship has "stuff" happening on the sides of the nacelles but not the front. The TOS ship has "stuff" happening on the front but not the sides.

Add "stuff" on the inside of the TOS nacelles and it will take away from the neat rotating effect of the front.

And anyway, the blue lights on the sides of the new nacelles were meant (per Probert) to show they worked interactively, where the old ones had worked independently.

Leave well enough alone. Please.

(As if anyone will be listening to my opinion posted on this bulletin board, in a question posed by DumbDumb...)

I, too, would like to see a shot of modern warp effects in at least one Remastered episode before they finish the 80th and final one. Just one. It won't make the earth's rotation stop in its tracks or give hardcore TOS purists cancer of the ass to do this just once.

Cancer of the ass? No. Stupefying brain numbness from yet again listening and reading the whining of the anencephalic fanboy wannabrains that can't just take their numbnut fantasies out on their inadequate wankers, instead of on those of us respectable conservative types that want to just leave things be?

Yep. That's the right answer.

Moderators, do your duty.

And a Happy Thanksgiving to one and all!

Was that coffee that just sprayed out of my nose? Yes, it was. VERY HOT COFFEE! :guffaw:

Well...I stand by my desire to see at least one modern warp-jump effect in a Remastered TOS episode before its all said and done. Just one. Some streaks and a flash of light. Won't kill anyone.

That's cool. No hard feelings. I just had to get that off my chest. One too many weirdo threads have taken their toll, I guess.

Trolling. Warned as such. As usual all comments and/or questions via PM.

What if, just for one third-season episode, they had blue light coming out of Shatner's sides?

It would have to be a gold or green light to match the tunic

I tried doing this in photoshop to see what it would look like. It doesn't work and looks too busy.

I think the TOS Enterprise might look pretty good if you lit up the indented area on the inner aspect of the warp engines, like they did on the NX-01. I agree with Warped 9 that it might look too busy because the bussard collectors are reddish, but it would probably work if you changed the colors of the nacelle caps to the same light blue.

Personally, I wouldn't want them to make this change (even if it looks good), but I think it could work.

Actually, this is one of my Trek pet peeves. Why does every futuristic technology have to glow? I don't see the need for it.

On the bright side, even in the ENT Mirror Universe episodes, the DS9 tribble story and the new Remastered TOSes the sides of a Constitution-class nacelle don't glow. They didn't in the movies either.
