CBS Uprfont 2017 - May 17 - ST Discovery trailer?

So CBS Upfront 2017 will be on the 17th of May. I think it is a pretty good bet that we will get a Star Trek Discovery trailer than. They have already confirmed that 2 episodes are done, so they have the material to do a real trailer this time around and when should be a better time than at the upfront? What do you say?

I sincerely hope so!! It would be the perfect moment if they are indeed setting up for a early Fall release!

I tend to think the CBS upfront will involve shows that are actually part of the CBS TV network's fall lineup rather than on a related streaming service. There might be a passing mention of the one-night only pilot alongside their other specials (like award shows or a sporting event), but I think the trailer will probably be released online whenever the premiere date is finalized.

Wasn't the last official word on Discovery's release that they have all the time in the world to get it right and that they aren't tied down to any release window? It's nice to be positive but I wouldn't count on seeing anything trailer wise for months.

The lines between network and streaming lineup for the same station are probably getting increasingly blurred. Plus CBS will premiere the show on the network itself. I think it would help build anticipation to include a few glamour shots or quick takes of the ships and crews.

At least that's what I'm selfishly hoping!

They released the teaser trailer and logo at the 2016 upfront, so of course there will be Trek content at the 2017 event.

I really hope we do get a trailer at the up fronts, but if not, then we'd better get one at Comic-Con.
I still find it shocking that we still haven't at least gotten some pictures of the cast in character or the sets. All I can think is that they're holding everything back either for one of the big events, or until a solid release date is set.
