CBS renews a ton of shows: Person of Interest, CSI, NCIS, etc.

I got into The Mentalist after not being a regular viewer, but enough to know who Red John was and be a bit familiar with the cast.

I love Person of Interest. Well, I love Michael Emerson’s acting ability. Cavaziel’s good, too, and I like how the characters are developing.

My guilty pleasure in these shows is Two Broke Girls. Corny, yes; but I’m laughing.

The question though is will this be NCIS's last season as it'll equal it's parent shows number of seasons.

NCIS isn't going anywhere. They signed multi-year contracts last fall.

The show will run until they start losing core cast members. They can lose one, as long as it isn't Mark Harmon. Lose him, the show ends. Lose more than one of the others, the show ends. Unlike CSI, NCIS has been since Day 1 a character study built around the half-dozen core characters. And once that formula is broken and you no longer have Tony and Ziva playing off each other, or Abby interacting with Gibbs, then it's all over. Although they changed one of the main leads after the first season (Kate) the show isn't designed to withstand the "revolving door cast" scenario seen with shows like Law & Order or the CSIs. (I'm not counting the "NCIS chief" character who has been played by several different actors including Lauren Holley; the "NCIS Chief" is always secondary.

Barring a collapse in ratings or a cast walk-out I fully expect NCIS to exceed JAG's longevity.

Other than Criminal Minds, I didn't know CBS had any shows. It doesn't even come up when I press the Favorites button on my remote.
