Looks like their Open House cook out attracted all of maybe 15 folks.......fundraising might be getting tighter.
Current state of the play room/club house...........lot of holes.........
They had this whole blog post on why they were using actual monitors instead of digitally compositing over a bluescreen display; and how it would be so much better, ditto for the touchscreen-keyboards.
Looks like the new "air-display" is all the rage, eh?
I thought Axanar was "true Trek" - pre-TOS holograms on the bridge might get some of their supporters having mental breakdowns.I’m sure it’ll look awesome when they’ve CGI’d in all the Discovery-style hologram displays
I dunno, they seemed to be cool with touchscreens, new uniforms, different ship designs, a backdrop of war and battle plans...I thought Axanar was "true Trek" - pre-TOS holograms on the bridge might get some of their supporters having mental breakdowns.![]()

Pity there isn’t an official Trek series that ticked all those boxes for them really

Still no blowback on the target practice posting anywhere? Don't see anything on the OWC press releases yet.
Owc said he has freedom of speech even if they disagree and willl keep supporting him.
Where did you see that? All I can find are the Twitter replies stating "This matter is being handled and we apologize for this behavior. Thank you for bringing this to our attention."
I would think the last thing OWC would want to do is call this post "freedom of speech", and the next to last thing, be called out for ignoring it.
It does not look like the manager of their donation-funded studio is going to recant and see the light. OWC can only be more hurt as time goes on if they do not take the opportunity to protect themselves while they can from this sort of "speech". It crosses the line into behaviors corporations cannot be associated with.
Yet again, where is the statement from OWC on Alec Peters stupid Facebook actions? Still all I can find is the Twitter replies stating "This matter is being handled and we apologize for this behavior. Thank you for bringing this to our attention."

@Krandor where did you see that?
I am not sure Alec will be able to duck this. Moving into the territory of gun threats against critics pops the entire "sincere fan" bubble and reveals a real world unacceptability, no matter when any future donor or actor or fan or the like sees it. Set next to the excuses about a couple million gone, the whole picture becomes less tenable to describe as "fan overreach".
After seeing $1.4 million wanish into theen air, I'm not ready to dig into my wallet. Don't know about anybody else, of course.
To be fair, there's no evidence the Author, Author! website is selling patches "for" Peters, only that he gave her the merchandise, for which she is under "no obligation" to pay anything back to Axanar. No obligation at all.People have asked why this thread is still here... It is becasue the idiot cockroach won't go away and keeps thinking he can do whatever he wants.
Now he has some lady who runs a website in Alabama selling Axanar patches for him.... smh. You can't make this crap up.

Wow, just unbelievable!
That's a helluva gift.To be fair, there's no evidence the Author, Author! website is selling patches "for" Peters, only that he gave her the merchandise, for which she is under "no obligation" to pay anything back to Axanar. No obligation at all.
BTW, that merchandise, at the prices she's selling it for, appear to be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
