It's a amazing how delusional some people are. Is this guy really AP? I just can't believe someone would be so stupid

Suspend your disbelief. Of course there are people this stupid. They're the ones who keep giving Alec money and helping him move into his new warehouse.

OWG can get in those RFP processes...
Ok, having a mental blank on this, what does RFP stand for, please?

And on the Watkins quote, this says it all! The shenanigans continue apace!!!

Request For Proposals(?)

Yes, request for proposals. When a company or government agency wants to solicit competing vendor proposals for a project in a formal manner, the requirements and legal conditions are published, and vendors respond how they will deliver and what it would cost, appending background information as required by the RFP such as staff qualifications, EEO compliance, etc.

Big non-tech companies that want tech work done commonly put out RFPs if they are trying to get competition to generate discounted costs compared to one on one discussions with the vendors.

Its a bidding process, however only under some circumstances such as some government operations is the lowest qualified bidder required to be chosen.

When an RFP process is present, there is often a minimum qualifications bar to meet. It may have to do with prior experience in delivering the required service. If your company doesn't have that, it can make an alliance with a company that does, and claim that they will contribute needed expertise. Or it may just provide the sizzle to get more attention to your proposal than to similar ones. OOO, Trek, shiny!!

Thanks, @Admiral2 and @muCephi, thought I was being dense and missed reading something about what RFP stood for. Your concise explanation was especially appreciated, @muCephi.

I asked earlier, and tend not to go to the Axanar site anymore, so can anyone tell me if the Donor Store is still operating?

Where is there ANY evdence Alec is going to anything different this time then any other time?

^ I imagine that's all he's got.

One difference I see between AP and a normal, everyday con man, is that Lord Axahat seems to have a desperate need to be recognized as important to the fan community. A regular grifter would just take the money and move on to the next con, but Peters keeps going back to the same well. That's his Achilles heel, and will ultimately be his downfall.

I'm not a p-sychiatrist (thanks, Radar!), but there's a pattern here. :techman:

There definitely is. From his past dealings with Propworx to his current Axanar/Multiplicity Studios shambles, he has to always position himself as the best of the best, the hero amongst the pitiful. the need to berate and belittle those who disagree with that as well as the constant need to position himself as this figurehead, the tables, the press, the celebrities and a whole lot more all points to this very fragile ego of someone who needs to be important and to always be right.

It goes far deeper than his public scams, but the same elements are in his (now also somewhat public) private life which contain the same self important ramblings.

I'm a psychologist by training (so I'd guess I'm about as qualified to analyse him as he is to practice law :p) and in my unprofessional opinion; he's a psychiatrists goldmine. Someone could spend years of billable hours on him and never get bored.

Funny you should mention that. Axafan Reece Watkins just shared the following screed in the The REAL Truth About Axanar Facebook group:

[paragraph breaks added by me]

....and on the subject of nut jobs....

In the old Vietnam War spirit of "in order to save the village we must destroy it."
OT: I've long since started wondering if the officer who said that recognized the irony of his statement. It's easy to say he was just a mindless stooge, but I know an awful lot of really sharp mililtary folks at all levels and I wouldn't bet that he didn't realize exactly what he was saying. With the Axanar crowd I'm not inclined to give them any such benefit of the doubt. That would be giving them more credit than I think they deserve.
