CBS/Paramount sues to stop Axanar

Personally, I liked Prelude... It was a unique way to do Trek. But I seriously doubt Axanar feature would've interested me anywhere near as much.
I think the novelty of Prelude is what I enjoyed so much about it. I liked the idea of a documentary based on a past future event. Um... yeah, that's right. They did it well, but that, I think is due to a lack of Alec being in control, and more professional elements handling that one, and with his utter incompetence, he managed to lose some of the best talent that promo had, right off the bat.

Personally I'm curious as to what production is helping him lol.

We know STC, John and co would not help.

I've spoken to a few others and they aren't involved so it looks like it's either Randy :-/ or first frontier.

Randy's been based in Alabama for some time now. Just sayin'

Randy is an Axanar skeptic. I don't know much about First Frontier other than they got a glowing writeup recently in Fan Film Factor. It's clearly not Farragut or Continues.

The only think with first frontier is would a guy who spent his own money on a film want to be involved with a guy who wasted 1.4m of donors money and made nothing? That seems an odd combo.

Helping unload a truck isn't really "involved." It's neighborly. But by broadcasting it to the free world, Peters places the people who just wanted to be nice under a microscope to be judged.

Knowing Alec he wouldn't expect it to end with unloading a truck.

Regardless there was no need to broadcast the information.

Potemkin Pictures has NO association with Alec Peters. We generally maintain excellent relations with all fan films. But Axanar is NOT a fan film, remember? It's an independent, professionally produced Star Trek film, or so we were all repeatedly told again and again. And Carlos, skeptic is too kind. :)

I've updated the AxaMonitor article to reflect that Potemkin Pictures moved its main studio from Georgia to Birmingham, Alabama in February 2015.

Thank you!

That's assuming that the other fan film group has even agreed. Remember that Alec has a tendency to announce things as being in motion when they're really not.

I would not be shocked to hear that Alec has asked for help and the group is considering it
(but ultimately decide not to).

Or there's a small contingent of people within the larger group who are either good samaritan-ly enough to help or like Alec enough to assist.

I always enjoyed this tale of fiction.

Before the Battle of Agincourtin 1415, the French, anticipating victory over the English, proposed to cut off the middle finger of all captured English soldiers. Without the middle finger it would be impossible to draw the renowned English longbow and therefore they would be incapable of fighting in the future. This famous English longbow was made of the native English Yew tree, and the act of drawing the longbow was known as “plucking the yew” (or “pluck yew”).

Much to the bewilderment of the French, the English won a major upset and began mocking the French by waving their middle fingers at the defeated French, saying, See, we can still pluck yew!

Since ‘pluck yew’ is rather difficult to say, the difficult consonant cluster at the beginning has gradually changed to a labiodentals fricative F’, and thus the words often used in conjunction with the one-finger-salute!

It is also because of the pheasant feathers on the arrows used with the longbow that the symbolic gesture is known as “giving the bird.”

IT IS STILL AN APPROPRIATE SALUTE TODAY!

And yew thought yew knew every plucking thing!
