CBS/Paramount sues to stop Axanar

The term "travellers" is used by police to describe this group of grifters. It's not aimed at any particular ethnic group and is not meant to describe the habits or lifestyles of any general group other than people who perpetuate certain kinds of crimes. It's sort of like conflating the word "Mafia" with smearing all Italians. Put away the broad brush.

There are separate traveller (more recent), and Gypsy/Romany communities who have an honourable tradition stretching back at least a 1,000 years. Please don't let a few scam artists malign their choice of peripatetic lifestyle.

No. A project like this requires tremendous focus and enthusiasm from a lot of people. Watching the scope of the promised project shrink and the disorganization and lack of leadership become increasing evident, the group of available participants will lose their commitment to it and drift apart.

As for the film ever getting made. He will probably put out some all green screen production like the Vulcan scene with amateur actors, and say the film is done.
 
Amazing how he's essentially going to get away with all of this without any particular repercussions. Took 1.4M (plus more, call it 1.5M just to round and give him the benefit of the doubt), plus claims to have put in more of his own, and at the end:

no studio
no film

legit just owns some half-finished plywood, and got to live the high life for a couple years on idiots' dimes

With all due respect, that's unfair to Peters; for all we know, he may be good at being a Mickey D's (or any other fast food place) worker, and just only that. (I'm NOT defending what he's done, so don't mistake me.)

Koan for the current era: solve this problem by removing two regulations on crowdfunding for every one that you want to add.

Yes and he tore through the last $1.35 million without creating anything, so don't bother looking for any justice on the donors behalf.
