CBS/Paramount sues to stop Axanar

I almost want to donate $10 just to have fun in the comment section of that campaign (Since Alec cant delete them) . But I can't morally donate once cent to this con man. Some of the comments there are cringe inducing like this one:

"Good to see you guys are moving ahead! Fan films need a refuge like Industry Studios, now more than ever! Thanks for fighting the good fight against the detractors. Can’t wait to see the new projects!"

Like um,i dunno.. Axanar! Thats a new project right? LOL

"Promise kept! Will add more before the month is out."

What promises? To send your money on sushi and carpet squares?

"I’m glad to see things moving along! You haven’t disappointed me yet Alec, so I’m on board again!"

Not disappointed huh, then ask your self were is the dam Axanar film!

These people are truly Kool Aid drinking sheep...Bah
Are we sure these Kool Aid drinking sheep are all different people? How do we know it's not just one or maybe two guys trying to make it look like this sad little campaign has more supporters than it really does? I'm sure it's not too hard to donate more than once under different names if you want to.

Some of the names are almost screamingly fake...and I am discounting the obvious hilarity troll names... but seriously, the names, the way they are spelled, everything feels like a fake account.

That still makes them kool-aid drinking sheep, only worse, because instead of a hundred or so people wasting moderate amounts of good money on this con, it's one or two true fools wasting boatloads of good money on this con in an attempt to draw in the moderates. That makes them the stupidest shills in the history of shills.

Everybody just needs to stop. Giving. Alec. Peters. MONEY. Just stop. Whyever you're doing it. Just stop.

I am getting confused now, because in this blog post it says they want to turn the studio into 501(c)3:
http://www.axanarproductions.com/origins-behind-the-scenes-of-axanar/

We are expanding our mission too, by turning our production company, Axanar Productions, and thus Industry Studios, into a 501(c)3, dedicated to helping student, fan film and independent film makers make their films a reality.

It was only last week on FanFilmFactor they clarified that Axanar Productions would be "not-for-profit" and the studio would be "for-profit", but now that seems to have changed again.

Yea, that and their comment in the Indiegogo that they would likely relocate is leading me to the theory that they are going to try to separate all of the fan stuff from the studio by creating a new holding company for for-profit operation and transfer the studio to it, and then have the nonprofits lease time from it from a relocated office just for the nonprofits. Shed all history from the for profit operation, and cash out the donor value in the studio somehow, basically.

Why would the profit-making arm of covertAnar walk away from their free studio? I have no evidence of course, but this point just doesn't make sense to me unless they are actually retaining the studio asset but separating it from all the Axanar stuff AND all the 'fan film studio' operations they are saying is their real goal at the moment.

And if this happens and monied people want to take over the asset, will Alec still be a player in the for profit part, or will he choose to go to the nonprofit ops, or be golden parachuted/have the nonprofits golden parachuted into the nonprofit ops with a cashout of the value of the studio?

TBD.

Why? because Alec Peters finally did some market research; and maybe even got a further contract quote or two and even HIS thick head realized that his dreams of a 'for profit' studio business will be/is a never ending money pit. I mean hell, he didn't even bother to think of soundproofing at least a section of it - and if you look at what he's asking in a Pledge for someone to be able to use it (prior to his lease lapsing of course) - such a person could get a BETTER DEAL just renting out actual (and readily available) Studio space nearly ANTYWHERE in the L.A. area.

As for the two 15 minute parts of 'Axanar' - IF they finish it, it will be a combination of the footage from 'Origins' (which I believe was filmed on the ST:C sets years ago; and why there's a still from that ON the Industry Studios Indegogo page ) and all the unused (I believe 25+ minutes or more) of the Axanar Ship footage Tobias Richter already produced, delivered and was paid for, plus maybe a few close-ups I front of the massive green screen and more talking heads.
^^^
Alec Peters knows full well he could finish shooting what's needed for the 'new' version of 'Axanar' in a bedroom, using work lights and a green bedsheet. Everything shown on the Industry Studios Indegogo is to get the casual fan who's totally unaware of all the history behind this mess to pony up enough cash yo allow Alex Peters to bail on all of this - and move on to his next Ponzi style scam.

Edited to Add:

I also received a reply to my Indegogo Report of the Industry Studios Campaign for IP/Copyright violation. It looks like a boilerplate form reply, but you never know. :

Well, these are disappointing . As I see it they only serve to exacerbate polarization by being the perfect examples of what the defendant promotes for the supporter/advocates to rally against: haters. And adds confirmation to the idea being promoted that no one but themselves should be listened to.
Indiegogo $1 donors:
Suckit Alec & Longlive Pie
Getajob Alec & Suck Mydick

One lone comment on the other end of the spectrum is ccnorman's well said, relevant, informed, and non-aggressive comment:
"Will this studio business actually adhere to acceptable accounting practices and release financial records created by a CPA the the people that contribute their money?"

But the $1 donors, who could even be the same person for all anyone knows, now exponentially reduce the likelihood that comment's relevant information will be thought about, and aids to undermine everyone else' attempts to present to potential donors the broader picture of what's going on.

A new $1 donor's voice now appears in the comments. Ironically a new Garth of Izar. With his/her non-aggressive and not mocking those who need to know the information or the the production itself plea to possible donors to read the whole content of the "story" tab to be well informed of stated possibilities before deciding to donate:
"Please all potential donors, read everything under the “story” tab. Even if this campaign gets 100k (which is 140% of the goal and very unlikely), Industry Studios will move at the end of 2017. This is a short-term campaign only and does not guarantee Axanar or any fan film will ever be made in this studio."

Kudos nuGarth of Izar

I said wouldn't post here again, but the desire to correct math was too much to resist:hugegrin:...actually, 100K is ~167% of 60K.
