...Until one day you look in the mirror and realize, I have been duped and ripped off. What's worse, I have totally defended the guy that fucked me over. I'm and idiot and everyone knows it.
You gotta know when to hold 'em........know when to fold 'em.......know when to walk away........and know when to run.

Dear Reece,
The time to run was about 11 months ago......
Signed,
Kenny Rogers

Interesting reading (new court docs)

Link
What was that link supposed to be too? It asked me to log into Facebook, and I screwed up my password and had to reset it and then after I got logged onto to Facebook, I tried the link again and it still wanted me to log into Facebook even though I was already logged on.

As for that guy's Axanar post, I admire loyalty to a certain degree, but after someone has pulled the amount bullshit AP has and you stay loyal to them, it makes you look almost as bad as them. Sometimes you have to just walk away no matter how much you liked a person in the past.

"Highly" critical? That might be stretching it a bit. Whilst Hunt paints Peters in a relatively negative light regarding his understanding of his role he doesn't appear to put the boot in during the parts of the deposition I read.

Haven't heard much from Reece lately...........still seems to be shotgunning the Kool-Aid though

Dude's not just drinking the Axanar Kool-Aid, he's smoking the Axanar crack.

I can tell you from meeting him in 2013 that Alec was totally new trying to be producer. Him visiting our production was to see how it was done and to be a learning experience. In his defense, everyone has to start somewhere and he did take an effort into learning the process. The notion of him being an 'experienced producer' is not correct though.

Many of the terms he has used like 'Experienced Producer' and 'Professional Production' were just used for marketing reasons to elicit more money during the funding drives, we had actually talked about this a one point. Alec is good at marketing, and that went a little to far IMO.

Here's a statement:

Paramount Pictures Corporation, CBS Studios Inc., Axanar Productions, Inc. and Alec Peters are pleased to announce that the litigation regarding Axanar’s film Prelude to Axanar and its proposed film Axanar has been resolved. Axanar and Mr. Peters acknowledge that both films were not approved by Paramount or CBS, and that both works crossed boundaries acceptable to CBS and Paramount relating to copyright law.

Very unexpected. Although cynically it seems interestingly timed with the judge ruling the financials had to be unredacted.

So now Alec either makes the feature film with the serial numbers filed off, or 2x15 minutes. The second option seems to fly in the face of what was promised more, however neither option seems likely with the money gone.

Good luck with that next crowd funding campaign. I think you may need it if you think you'll get close to the numbers you got before. I know this three time donor is out.

So he gets to make 2 15-minute Axanar shorts, but with what money? Are Reece Watkins and Slow Lane each going to sell one of their kidneys on the Chinese black market?
