I agree. The endgame IMO for AP & Co has been primarily the not-a-studio. I wonder what Loeb & Loeb will say in court during discovery about the not-a-studio seeded with money based on their client's IP?

and there was a Valkyrie Studios, a short lived gaming company formed around 2000 when Viacom shutdown a regional game dev office and the employees there formed a company and bought out their work to sell it themselves. http://www.mobygames.com/company/valkyrie-studios

This quote from one of their officers is interesting. Wonder if it will presage Alec's sales pitch:

"Alisa Kober, Valkyrie's VP of Art Production, explained the choice of name: "We really feel that it symbolizes the working environment. The Valkyrie were goddesses that flew out to battlefields and brought warriors who had fought and died with honor back to Valhalla, the home of the gods. Regarding the 'something' that has gone down today:
-I can't see the upthread posted picture.
-And the posted link to it is only allowing me to see a small pictures, and which don't enlarge much.
-I can see the defendant in one.
-One is a picture with something that says 'The 2016 Sc-Fest LA Festival Board' and I can read the defendant's name in the list.
-I can see a picture of the studio formerly known as ares and the words Valkyre Studios above it - but I am unable to read the print under that picture.

-I googled The 2016 Sc-Fest LA Festival which says it will be held May 5 – 29. (is that the reported next month's rent or something?)
-Two of the upthread posts mention Curtis Short and saying he did manage the studio formerly known as ares, and is now managing it under the name Valkyre Studios. (did the assets changed hands today?)
-I googled Valkyre Studios. A cosplay person's facebook comes up & something called Valkyre Entertainment (maybe a game site?) Are one or both of these the now Valkyre Studio?
-One upthread post mentions a 'flyer' and it being “a laundry list of stuff that was done to create [the] for profit studio”. I can't see that flyer. Is it one of the pics on the facebook page. If it is I can't read it.
-Another upthread posted link takes me to the same cosplayer's facebook page.
-I read the link to the May 14, 2015 production website with some of Mr. Short's history with the defendant.

Would someone pull these pieces together for me and give me the story of what's happened today?

If you can not see the images, it must be a fault at your end... Others can see it easily

maybe the link posted here earlier has disappeared, but this appears to be a copy of the Valkyrie Studios prospectus preserved on Twitter. Its cut off on the bottom where the original pic said contact curtis short for details.

is it real? I wouldn't know.

"The Axanar team is happy to announce that we have signed a lease on 16,000sf warehouse in Valencia, CA. The new home of Axanar Productions will be called “Ares Studios” and you are all part of it because of your donations to the Axanar Kickstarter. We intend to turn this warehouse and office space into a fully functional sound stage. This will allow us to not only make “Axanar” but other Star Trek projects after Axanar and other Sci-Fi projects. (Robert Burnett and I have already acquired the rights to a fantastic book series by David Gerrold.)"

I was just wondering what the rent was setting the studio back each month, one of the cheaper rents I found in the area showed $9.48 per SF per year or $151,680 for 16,000 sf a year, $214,880 start to date.
