OMG go and see it!!!

I'm hanging out to see it a third time!

I'm working on my third time as well.

Okay, see, I'm not a Star Wars guy, but I'm confused. Because Alec Peters told the Santa Clarita Business Journal, "When people saw our 20 minute short film, we got buzz in the industry--better than anything J.J. Abrams is doing."

And yet you guys seem to think this Star Wars film Abrams made is kind of a big deal. I'm not sure what to believe anymore!

hahahahahahaha

:guffaw:

I'm starting to think this thread will evolve into talking about who Daisy Ridley's Rey is related to, if Kylo Ren will be redeemed in later films, who is Finn related to...?

(I should also note that Star Wars (a film directed by JJ Abrams) has already surpassed Titanic...and is looking to take down Avatar).

Take them down, Star Wars! Take...them...down!!

I guess that's some karma on Mr. Peters. It's one thing to make an awesome fan film, but you want to be diplomatic as well. Of course, this entire thread has basically been talking about how he hasn't been diplomatic in his Axanar production.

Kylo Ren is related to Alec Peters

If you're raising upwards of $1 million, shouldn't the accountant already be in place and able to prepare your reports?
If it were a "professional" production, yes. That's what they were, despite the poor judgement in saying so. I still consider it a "professional quality" (and only maybe) production and not a "professional" production. But if it were me, trying to minimize the amount of money spent on support and maximize money spent on the actual product, I'd ask volunteers sitting around a cardboard table meeting who has Quickbooks and a few minutes a day. I wouldn't hire a damn professional and spend $75 to $150 an hour, that's for sure.

I liked it, except at one point I noticed an X-Wing flying upside down in atmosphere

The Blue Angels do this all the time. Your point?

Blue Angels? Psssst I'll take the Red Arrows anyday

My point is that when the X-Wing is inverted, the movements not make sense at all
Pardon? The ship is basically symmetrical top and bottom, and the wings are non aerodynamic slabs. It couldn't fly anyway without antigravity any more than a TIE fighter, so its movements make as much sense upside down as right side up: none. :)

The other X Wings that turned to port/left made a port/left spin whereas this tricky bugger made a port/left rudder slew. I think its the same one that gets blown up in the trench run scene at Starkiller Base with a single hit to the port upper engine

When you are dealing with hundreds of thousands of dollars and about a zillion laws and regulations, going cheap on the accounting is akin to saying, "Oh, my friend's son took a web design class in college, he can make the website for my enterprise-level business."

Which is to say that it's a very, very, very easy way to get into deep trouble very quickly.

;)

Don't backseat-mod.

I'm sure the comedy will commence in about thirteen or fourteen hours, whenever the Axanar principals come to and start playing with their smartphones again.

Should be good - I'll keep a hailing frequency open!

In other news, Burnett is proud to finally be in a Downfall parody video... I have a tweet from him to prove it
