(yes I know it was quoted before, but here's the link).
He's pulling STC into it again. Authors who are shills for Star Trek Continues? I don't know whether to LMAO or smh.
Got a link? I'd love to see who Peters is blaming now.
Because as we all know, it's everyone else's fault. He's the victim here!
See #3 in Peter's FB response (screencapped above).

For what it's worth, someone in the TrekMovie comics just posted some of Axanar's other salaries.
EXPENSES
Salaries
1099 $17,420.00
Alec Peters $38,166.57
Diana Kingsbury Deferred till 2016
Robert Burnett $5,000.00
Curtis Laseter $9,800.00
Salaries $48,042.31
Peters seems to be the type who likes to leap before looking.
I can't seem to find it. What FB page is it on? Searching for "Star Trek" alone yields far too many pages to sift through. A link would be most helpful.
...
Yeup. I'm trying to set up some online stuff (nothing big or fan related, just small stuff) and it's been a headache to find a lawyer that handles IP/Copyright law. A couple flat out said that that didn't get into to it cause it to complicated and time consuming and there isn't enough demand outside big media-corporations.
Axanar has been up front about paying people for a while now. Whether they should be doing that or not is perhaps one of the core issues here, but that they do so is neither new information nor is it evidence of subterfuge.

I don't think it's Pay persey... Renegades paid people...
I really think it's the perception that Peters is gaining financially for this project... 38k in salary... A professional film studio paid for using donated monies raised using CBS IP....
Again I know what not for profit means... And that means paying salaries... But the not for profit thing isn't enshrined in law... It's a line in the sand it seems CBS has drawn....
The STC people have never once returned the favor of bad mouthing him. I've never seen them do anything but act with respect.
Axanad lol----Nice
I mentioned this a few pages back, I seem to recall one production that just wanted Lowes or Home Depot giftcards to pay for the lumber. Like you said, some just wanted a few bucks to help with the lights or the food bill. No one was trying to make a buck, indeed the opposite was true.
Either that, or people do (perceived) asshole things and get called out on it when they do, ultimately to be forgiven later. Right now, Alec is doing the asshole thing. Whether or not he'll be redeemed later depends upon what his actions cause towards the future of the fan production community.I don't know anything about the politics of and between fan productions, but I did a search on these forums last year because I was curious about this Vic fellow from... Star Trek Continues, is it? I found no positive comments here, which read mostly like those against this Alec fellow now - mostly comments about ego and betrayal against the other guy, James Cawley, who seems to have stayed out of the fray. It is illuminating that Alec has caused a bump in the support for Vic. I wonder whether it's just a matter of who is the lightning rod of the day, and the sheep just move from one place to the other. Anyone counting on solidarity to preserve fan efforts won't find it here.
Well, then maybe show more constructive support of all productions, including Axanar, right or wrong, in anticipation of said redemption so that all fan productions have a better chance of withstanding, rather than encouraging, the CBS point of view that maybe they need to scuttle the whole thing through Axanar.Either that, or people do (perceived) asshole things and get called out on it when they do, ultimately to be forgiven later. Sides? That's forgetting those outside the ring. It's a continuum of people forming a circle around a few people, shouting, "Fight! Fight! Fight!"Any sort of feud is fueled by both sides, not just one.
What are you talking about? Many of the posters here, myself included, have been concerned about the future of fan films. There has been a lot of support in this thread. I, for example, support CBS' right to go after Axanar for crossing the line. At the same time, I hope CBS is lenient towards the other fan films, and understands they didn't do anything wrong.Well, then maybe show more constructive support of all productions, including Axanar, right or wrong, in anticipation of said redemption so that all fan productions have a better chance of withstanding, rather than encouraging, the CBS point of view that maybe they need to scuttle the whole thing through Axanar.Either that, or people do (perceived) asshole things and get called out on it when they do, ultimately to be forgiven later.
