CBS and Paramount officially back together

It means now they need to work on a Netflix merger.

More realistic idea is for them to buy Tribune, reuniting all "Gene Roddenberry" shows under their umbrella, Star Trek, Andromeda, and Earth Final Conflict. Bonus you also net Beastmaster and a few other popular shows.

They already bought 49% of Marimax and distrubition rights, so how about buying some content that isn't boring artsy fartsy stuff.

Here's how I see it: Netflix has a world-wide streaming infrastructure that is second to none. They also have been deficit spending ... by a lot! They need inventory. Now, ViacomCBS's big weakness is their streaming service. Some forecast it cannot catch up to it's streaming rivals. Star Trek on such a merged Netflix-ViacomCBS platform would be superior to Star Wars on Disney+ - at least for now.

Per CNBC, Viacom is going to supplement All-Access with Viacom partner materials from Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, and BET. In addition, it will be a home for Paramount movies and Showtime content. The enhanced service will be ad supported for under $10, or ad free for a little extra.

They also made a deal for 49% of Miramax and Distribution rights of their movies. They are going to have a ton of content, but I still maintain buying Tribune is a good idea.

That's great news.

Not gonna lie, I think Jeri Ryan's reception on The Picard Show is gonna be make or break for Voyager in HD. People are gonna want to revisit her backstory.

Somehow, I doubt that very highly.

A 'No Country for Old Men' TV series seems inevitable now.

Except now the two leads will partner up to solve international crimes with the help of a psychic dolphin named "Delgado," and they'll drive a Chevy Spark EV. The Tommy Lee Jones character will be played by Randall Park while Javier Bardem's role will be taken over by Parker Posey. Tentatively scheduled for the Supernatural timeslot on CW next season. ;)

BAZINGA!
