CBS All Access is close to being a perfect streaming service

I like I can watch Star Trek and Beavis and Butt-head on the same streaming service

I like they also have Nickelodeon shows like Ren and Stimpy on there (although the Cousin Sven/Don't Wizz on the Electric Fence episode is strangely absent  )

I'd be happier if they'd put some older Nickelodeon shows from my childhood on there like You Can't Do That On Television

I've had problems two days in a row, both on an internet browser and Roku, with the audio and video getting out of sync.

Mission: Impossible 7, A Quiet Place 2 and Paw Patrol will hit Paramount+ 45 days after their theatrical releases.

Also, the Halo TV series, which was originally set up at Showtime, has moved to Paramount+.

Last day to get your first year for 50% off before they become Paramount+ tomorrow.

When signing up, you click on the "Save over 15% OFF the monthly price with an annual plan!" box which turns monthly into one year, and it should give you the discount on the checkout page. If it doesn't, enter the code PARAMOUNTPLUS.

Just be mindful that the offer is more useful if you're only creating a new account. If you already have an active monthly subscription and want to get the 50% off an annual subscription, that code will only apply to the next billing cycle--i.e. in 2022.

I just learned this the hard way by trying to do it and got charged the full $60 for 2021, but I'll only get charged $30 next year. I know that just paying $60 up front is still cheaper than paying $6/month for 12 months, but I wasn't really planning to drop that much money right this moment. Oh well, I use the service anyway and there's gonna be a ton of Trek stuff on it next year, so at least I'll be getting all that for half off.

I tried to watch an episode of Good Wife on it this morning and it was “Currently not available”. Not a good start technical wise.

The 50% off deal is gone, but now that it's Paramount+, they're offering one free month for new subscribers.

So what shows/movies are coming up in the next couple of months?

We were planning on doing a month of Disney Plus binging starting around March 27, so wondering how much we should wait to start with Paramount Plus? ANd does the old app work? We still see it on our ROku TV...and i think on COmcast.

I don't know if anything new and original is coming in the next couple months. Seems like the stuff they announced is a long way off. But you can see what they already have here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Paramount+_original_programming

So far I'm not finding a list of what's coming to and what's leaving Paramount Plus in March like they have with Netflix, Hulu, Prime and the other streamers.

Paramount+ is being billed as THE place for ALL things Star Trek... except for The Motion Picture, The Wrath of Khan, The Search For Spock, The Final Frontier, The Undiscovered Country, Insurrection, Into Darkness, and Beyond, which are all over at Hulu right now, and the 2009 film, which is currently available through Sling. Gotta love those convoluted licensing deals. :p

I still have way more problems with episodes not playing or audio and video getting out of sync than any other major streaming service.

One nice thing I will say is that since the switch, if I'm watching on my laptop and pause an episode of a TV show, it doesn't shrink the video down to the bottom left corner and put up some obnoxious ad for one of their other shows.

Perhaps any Canadians with Paramount+ can shed light on this. Is the recent miniseries adaptation of The Stand not available on the Canadian outlet of Paramount+? The reason I ask is, I noticed it is available on the Canadian Amazon Prime, with them calling it an "Amazon Exclusive."

This just reinforces my earlier comments on page 1, there really isn't any incentive to get Paramount+ in Canada if all their content is available through alternative legal means.

It needs a PS5 app. Weird that you can stream Trek on a PS4, but not a 5.

I've been watching through Amazon Prime since at least DSC season 2 maybe season 1? It seems to work well. I have termed the service at the end of seasons, however have kept it around lately to catch up on other series. Things that bug me though, the latest episode of Magnum PI shows as not available. I'd have to check again but in the past it looked like previous seasons of some series are not available. If I'm paying $10/mo for "All Access" they had better include all season of their content!

They only have the rights to some of the current seasons for some reason. FBI and FBI:Most Wanted have distribution rights by NBC in the States but are produced by CBS. I'll never understand.
