Spoilers Catch me up on Rebels

Morpheus 02

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
The Jedi has gotten me curious about Rebels, especially when the Vice Admiral (who I wrongly thought was Sabine) really emphasized saying "Rebels", like it was an Easter Egg.

So I saw the most recent one On Demand, episode 9, where Hera & her fighters crash land on the planet. Before that, the last episode I saw I recall the Temple seemingly collapsing on Ashoka.

What have I missed? Any episodes in particular really good? Where are we in relation to Rogue One & A New Hope?

The series tracks a 5 year(ish) timeline that presumably runs up to Rogue One in the timeline (no guarantees on that!) It's fairly serialized unlike The Clone Wars' mini-arcs so it is highly recommended to see Rebels in order.
The series showcases the Rebels' rise from virtual nonexistence to being a genuine threat to The Empire.
Some of the episodes are incredible - others pass as filler. However, I wouldn't recommend skipping any of them. They are all only 22 mins long. Now on the rewatch I would skip a few of them...
Enjoy, Morpheus 02. It's a worthy series that tells a satisfying story and concludes a few story threads from The Clone Wars to boot.

This 4th season is the final season. It is about 8 or 9 episodes in and on break until January .

After we last saw Ashoka, the Rebels encountered a new enemy...Grand Admiral Thrawn. They spent much of the previous season working to unite the various rebel cells into something larger. Thrawn was working them over to get a location of their base. They recruited Wedge Antillies. They had a run in with the new TIE Defender. They met up with Saw Guerrea on his mission to try to find out what major project the Empire is working on (clue; its the Death Star). Eventually the Rebels want to go back to Lothal to liberate it. But they also have to do some work on Mandalore for Sabine's family.

Also there was stuff with the formerly Darth Maul trying to train Ezra and find Obi-wan Kenobi. There was a huge neutral force wielder voiced by Tom Baker. And eventually a move to Yavin Base for this season.

The Rebels have done their thing on Mandalore and now are attempting to cripple the Imperial TIE fighter production (specifically the TIE Defender production) on Lothal. Grand Admiral Thrawn is heading up that project
