I really think the Vehicular Manslaughter case for Toonces ended in the wrong verdict. The defense should have voir dire'd the jury better to eliminate the cat members on the jury.
Last time it was linked, there was a local news station as the link and not huffpost. Can't comment any further, though.
Don't believe so. Jury duty is considered one of those responsibilities as a citizen. Most states figure it out by driver's licenses, so it's possible they'd call illegals, but odds are they wouldn't show up.

Well, if the cat can drive, then I'm sure he can handle a little jury duty.

A person who works where you register to vote over here, told me -- while talking her up -- some funny stories, including one guy who crossed out "Republican", "Democrat", etc, and filled in his own political party: Jedi
The final vote was eight for conviction, three for acquittal, and one for playing with a nice ball of yarn.
More likely it was mooning the judge.
