I supposed it's inevitable that some people are going to pick up Naked Heat or one of other books without picking up on the TV connection . . . .
You know, I have to imagine that there are plenty of confused readers out there searching for the Derek Storm novels--which don't actually exist!![]()
Yeah, it was the Season 3 premiere. I'm sure it'll somehow be different enough, plus they get to play the emotional angle this time now that Castle and Beckett are a couple.I have to say I'm not really looking forward to next week's episode. Didn't they already do an episode where he was a suspect?
I actually did have a couple people come into my library asking if we had anything else by Richard Castle back when Naked Heat was first published. One guy took five minutes of explaining before he could finally wrap his head around the fact that the Derek Storm novels didn't really exist.
To be fair, the mock "author bio" on the jacket copy of Richard Castle's novels described him as the bestselling author of the Derek Storm novels.
I guess some people didn't realize that "Richard Castle" himself is an elaborate fiction . . ..
Loved Castle's intuition when he saw through 3XK's plan.. it was his weapon after all. I'm no gun expert but can you distinguish shell casings of real bullets from blanks?
Well they still need to keep the information away from Mr. Roper, errrr, Captain Gates, so crazy hijinks could still ensue.I was a bit disappointed that the gang found out about Castle and Beckett this way.. i was hoping for some funny hijinks but it worked in the context of the show and the case made it pretty much impossible to hide their relationship once Castle became a suspect.
