Castle gave me a scifi fangasm. (Spoilers)

Guy Gardener

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
Richard Castle dressed as Mal Reynolds for Halloween.

He did the pose with his 6 shooter from the dvd cover.

His daughter groans "What are you supposed to be?"

He replies: "I"m a space cowboy."

She mocks him "There are no cows in space."

And continues to mock: "Besides didn't you wear that like 5 years ago?"

"Yes" He replies, "But I like it."

Seriously?

I don't watch the show, but that's pretty amazing.

I'm very pleased he's finally got a show that might go the distance. He deserves it and I find him a very watchable actor.

2.06 (16) "Vampire Weekend" Karen Gaviola Terri Miller
October 26, 2009 (2009-10-26) As Halloween approaches, Castle and Beckett are called to a graveyard where the body of a young man sporting vampire fangs has been discovered with a wooden stake driven through his heart. Their investigation takes them deep into the heart of New York's underground vampire fetish community, where they learn that the motive for the victim's murder may be hiding within the pages of the graphic novel he was writing before his death.

I came into this thread hoping for such an explanation. I missed the first few minutes and came in when they were walking through the cemetary and Beckett asks "Are those suspenders?" To which the camera gives enough visual for me to go :wtf:, I swear that looks like Mal.
This was the first episode I've seen this year after seeing a few last year. Watched waiting to see if "Mal" would return at this party he kept mentioning but did enjoy the episode.
Also, I hoped to see Beckett in something yummy like when Bones wore that WW costume a few years back. Oh well, at least the episode was good. Now I need to find a YouTube clip of that opening minute or so to see his "space cowboy" outfit.

Cue Firefly hate in 5..4..3..

Cute clip though, actually some of the snappy patter seemed amusing, I may have to give this show another shake at some point.

Yeah, I dropped the show because... it didn't seem that great. That's a great bit of fanservice though. I wonder whose idea it was.

I'm not even sure why I stopped watching this show, I think I just lost track of it, I need to pick it up again.

Awesome fan service.

Nathan said he put another Firefly reference (in the form of an object) somewhere on one of the sets, but that it was much more subtle. Anyone spotted it yet?

Yeah, I've been a bad, bad Nathan Fillion fan in failing to keep up with this show.

It's also on Hulu for those in the US.

I'm pretty sure the other Firefly reference was a drawing of Gina as Zoe (mostly in silouhette) on the artist's wall.

And yeah, fangasm pretty much covers my reaction to the opening scene. I LOVE NATHAN FILLION!

ETA - actually, after re-viewing the scene, I don't think that was Gina after all.
