To us, perhaps. To him it probably has a certain level of a fight that he can point to as being proof his game was going to be successful if not for evil CBS. Also, probably a certainly level of vindication for a perceived slight by CBS.

Yeah that is an alec peters movie. But in this case he can't make the argument that CBS picked on him and he stood the good fight when he is the one who sued them.

In an amended complaint, the Plaintiff demands that CBS be sold, Paramount Studios be nuked from orbit, and any mention of the words "Star" or "Trek" to be removed from all social media platforms.

And that control of Star Trek be given to Alec Peters and Doomcock.

Doomcock should be given the nuclear football.

You think you know terror? Fools!

Doomclock would make since as this console of his looks like it could do some timey wimey type things. :P

He's an entertainer; his only justification is to entertain. Apparently he's making out okay on his Patreon.

There's a reason the Marx Brother's and The Three Stooges are still quite popular today.
Crude and Insulting buffoonery has always tended to draw large amounts of attention and applause.
Whether that is something acceptable or not is up to the individual observer.
Especially since the particular example being discussed, tends to be more intentionally malicious than funny.

With backers like "Dread Morlock" and "Pondimus Maximus" addressing him as "My Liege?" I'm pretty sure more than a few are taking the piss.

I object strenuously to mentioning the Marx Bros. and the Stooges in the same breath. Groucho, Harpo, and Chico were by no means as "buffoonish" as the Stooges. The Stooges shtick is that they were slapstick bumblers who kept smacking each other around and getting into trouble. The Marx Bros.' humor included puns, wordplay, sight gags, absurdism, bedroom farce, and, yes, some slapstick. And the Bros. were anarchists, not bumblers. They caused chaos for the fun of it, much to the consternation of stuffed-shirts and "proper" society.

Did I mention I'm a huge Marx Bros. fan? Pretty much memorized all of Groucho's monologues as a teen. :)
