Cartoon Network Returning Genre Shows Sat AM

Yeah, it looked like a modification of the anti-monitor.

I also saw hints of Imperiex in the design; but the character's entrance (through a black/white "negative" rip in space), his armor color scheme and helmet shape seem to indicate Anti-monitor. It'll be interesting to see what they do with it, but it does make sense to introduce the realm of Qward before we see Sinestro.

And Superboy asks; "Are we any closer in identifying the Light's new partner?"

And Nightwing says; "I know exactly who their partner is. I saw him in the promo for the new episodes of Young Justice."

:wtf:

Anybody know when Cartoon Network is going to air the final few episodes of Generator Rex????? Wikipedia doesn't list air dates.

I enjoyed the Clone Wars episode. I like the Maul/Opress pair, and Hondo, so there was a lot for me to like in this one. And now I guess we know why Adi Galia wasn't around in Revenge of the Sith.
The GL episode was fun. This was my first exposure to Guy Gardner, and he seems like a fun character. Was that the Anti-Monitor who activated the Manhunters?
Really enjoyed the YJ episode. Some interesting developments with the 2 Roys, and a couple fun scenes with the girls. I loved Captain Cold's reaction when the girls broke free of his ice.

Oh, I thought that was Imperiex!
I was just looking around on the DC Comics Database, and it does have an entry for a GL:TAS version of The Anti-Monitor, although it's a dead link so it doesn't have any info. That would indicate to me that was him (it?).

Cartoon Network is generally pretty cruel when a show has lost its bloom. When it does come back it will probably be unceremoniously dumped in a silly time slot.

^I think CN still has never shown "The Mask of Matches Malone!" from Batman: The Brave and the Bold, even though WB redid the animation on the part the network found objectionable.

Perhaps it will end up in this new Toonami experiment. I see that starting this week, Cartoon Network is airing re-runs of Symbionic Titan and the modern Thundercats starting at 2am Eastern on Sunday (extending off the Anime from Saturday night).

Kind of funny as both shows were given the short shrift by the network though technically Thundercats is still "on hiatus".

Really enjoyed this new episode of Young Justice, glad to have it back. Was interesting to get (essentially) confirmation that Jason Todd was Robin in the interim and died. Jaime's conversation with Impulse about Ray Palmer was nice, and it's interesting to see that they have the memorial for both "the Team" and the League in the same place. I only saw three - Robin, Tula, and Ray-BB, did I miss any?

The main story was very good, if particularly brutal for GA - poor Ollie, it was good of Arrow!Roy to stick up for him after Arsenal!Roy crushed him like that. Wonder how he'll react if he meets Jim Harper? Not much else to do for the others, but the girls did get a particularly fun moment and I wonder if we'll meet Rocket's husband/if he's anybody famous?

It bothers me that Speedy defaulted so readily to attempted murder; I would've hoped Ollie would've raised him better than that. And he was appeased somewhat too easily in the wake of that.

Well, we already knew Roy had something of a powerful temper and was prone to buck authority when his world hadn't been turned upside down and spent five years on ice. It's disappointing, no doubt for Ollie too, but I'm not sure how much we can blame Ollie.

Speaking of, have we seen Black Canary this season at all?

What surprised me was when Mercy bled, and made sounds of pain. I figured she was a full-on android, but apparently she's a cyborg. Which is kind of horrifying if you think about it, given how robotic she usually is. Just how voluntary was this transformation? How much of the original person is left, both physically and otherwise?

For a moment I wondered if they were going to have Arsenal!Roy kill Mercy and then have Lex make him an offer to take her place.

...a couple fun scenes with the girls. I loved Captain Cold's reaction when the girls broke free of his ice.

"I'm completely doomed, aren't I?"

Jaime's conversation with Impulse about Ray Palmer was nice...

You mean Ted Kord, the previous Blue Beetle. Ray Palmer was the original Atom.

...I wonder if we'll meet Rocket's husband/if he's anybody famous?

In the comics, she didn't get married, but rather got pregnant by an ex-boyfriend, who was a petty criminal (as she herself was before meeting Icon), while she was still a teenager. I guess the network probably didn't want them going there with her character, and besides, it's been five years so she's an adult now. So there's no way of telling where they're planning to go with this.

^ Oh right, Artemis too of course.

Doh, right! Though technically Al Pratt was the original Atom. ;)

Hmm, true yeah. I suppose it's possible that we never meet the guy and if YJ gets a third season and jumps forward in time again (Weisman's confirmed it will in Q&A) we might see her as a single mother because he died in the interim or left her?

Ah right, thanks! It was a pretty quick shot and I was trying to identify everybody, so must have just missed her somehow.

Yeah, I figure Zatanna magicked them into costume. But the YJ Wiki doesn't yet have the "translation" of her incantation.

Did anyone else get a laugh from a character voiced by a former Batman voice actor replacing a character voiced by a former Spider-Man voice actor at his job and aparently being more popular?
