CARRIE remake moving forward

throwup.gif

In other news: Seth MacFarlane is remaking The Exorcist.

The original Carrie had the better actors. The remake was far more faithful to the book (with the exception of the ending) but the actors weren't as outstanding as with the first one.

Wish they could have had the first actors in the second story.

As for another remake? WHY?

LOL!!:guffaw:

Spacek isnt creepy looking IMO. Ginger girls just have a certain look about them (light eyelashes and eyebrows tends to give them a "blank" look), but it did add to the character so kudos for casting her in the first place.

As for Spacek playing the mother...only if she could pull it off. Her presence doesn't say "psycho" to me but I haven't seen her act in eons so who knows.

Lindsay Lohan and Megan Fox Battle for the "Carrie" Role

Stay tuned for a fight between bad girl Lindsay Lohan and sexy Megan Fox for the role of "Carrie" in the MGM and Screen Gems remake of the 1976 classic film by Stephen King. Will there really be much of a fight for Fox? After all, Lohan has burned a lot of personal and Hollywood bridges as she boozed and thieved her way into everyone's televisions.

Megan Fox and Lindsay Lohan starred together in "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen." At the time, Lohan's acting skills rivaled her co-star Fox. However, time has passed and people have grown weary of hearing about the drama queen's personal battles.

Megan Fox, however, is hot, and she has not annoyed anyone. As a matter of fact, the "Transformers" actress has been eye candy to many a man. The role of "Carrie" is important to Fox, being she is desperately trying to distance herself from the "Transformers" persona.

If "Carrie" turns out to be a big hit, than Hollywood would see that Megan Fox is a versatile actress. After all, this film was a huge success back in '76. If MGM and Screen Gems follow the film true to form, then it should give the film a much-needed facelift. However, if they decide to deviate much from the original "Carrie," the film could flop.

Fox is bound and determined to get the role of "Carrie." And she told her agent to make the role happen for her. However if she does have a "plan b" if the role is given to the Lohan. She will leave Hollywood for a role in a Broadway musical. She would be sorely missed.

Please no. :(

Didn't Megan Fox already do something like this? Well not exactly, but Jennifer's Body had supernatural elements in a high school with a school dance at the end.

I agree. I hope studios are smart enough to stick with legitimate actors and not media trash.

Yeah, the movies were pretty much the same. That movie flopped really badly. Makes me wonder why anyone would want her for this.

Chloe Moretz picked for 'Carrie' remake

Los Angeles (CNN) -- "Kick-Ass" actress Chloe Moretz has been chosen for the title role in a movie remake of Stephen King's "Carrie," a horror story about a teenaged girl whose telekinetic powers turn a high school prom into an inferno.

The original 1976 movie, directed by Brian DePalma, launched John Travolta's film career and earned Oscar nominations for Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie.

Moretz, 15, tweeted about it Tuesday: "Never been so happy in my life! Thank you Kim Pierce and thank u MGM for the chance of a lifetime i will never forget!"

I like Moretz as an actress and think she is adorable, but isn't she WAY too pretty to play Carrie? At least they picked someone that's the right age for the part instead of a 26 year old actress like in the original.

Since Moretz is doing this thing, I might actually see it now. :rommie:

chloe moretz will be playing carrie and kimberly pierce will direct. so It may be next year till we see it.

Would this be a bad time to tell you about Carrie, the Musical?
