Cardassian-terran hybrids and the mirror universe

So the first question is are human-cardassian hybrids possible? Second question do you have a similar situation to cardassian-bajoran unequal pairings during the occupation of Bajor, might you have had a similar situation occurring in the mirror universe with cardassians taking Terran mistresses in the mirror universe? If so how prevalent were these pairings

Seska certainly believed so when she attempted to impregnate herself with a DNA sample from Chakotay. Granted, it didn't work, since she was already carrying a half-Kazon child but at no point did anyone say "human-Cardassian hybrid? Not possible."

So did such things occur often in the mirror universe? That was the second part of the question.

Nobody likely knows. No, canonically we never saw any Cardassian/human hybrids on screen in the MU, but sure, likely quite a few existed and probably were probably treated similarly to Cardassian/Bajoran hybrids in the Prime Universe.

I'll offer the one piece of evidence I can think of that might support the existence of Cardassian/human hybrids: In the TNG episode "The Chase", it was revealed that an ancient precursor species seeded many worlds with their own DNA, and that contributed to the development of humans, Vulcanoids, Klingons, Cardassians, and others. Since we know that humans and Vulcanoids can interbreed (Spock and Sela), humans and Klingons can interbreed (K'Ehleyr, B'Elanna), Klingons and Vulcanoids can interbreed (Ba'el), etc, it seems reasonable to think that humans and Cardassians could interbreed - and this is possibly supported by Seska's attempt to impregnate herself with Chakotay's baby. (She apparently had some aptitude in both science and engineering - but was also nuts, so take that for what you will. ;) )

Do you think such things were common in the MU? Similar to Dukat and Ziyal with Cardassians taking Terran mistresses?

Whenever there is an empire there is sexual exploitation or dodgy 'consensual' relationships between the oppressed and the oppressor
