Cara Dune

They wouldn't be fake. I mean they would still be on DsineyPlus. People I assume even have them on DVD. They just wouldn't be part of canon. With Kennedy leaving soon it will also I guess depend on the vision of the new person in charge. Whoever that might be.
I will be shocked if this happens. I heard the exact same garbage theories around the PT. That Lucas should sell the company, like to Disney, and they should remake the PT completely. And that kept getting kicked down the road, since Clone Wars happen, and people kept expecting Lucas to ignore the PT, rather than doubling down it.

lt:dr-believe it when it actually happens, and not a minute before.

In away Clone Wars did remake the PT. I mean they made Anakin and Obi-Wan more interesting than they were in those movies. They made Storm Troopers come to life in away we have never seen before with the clones. They added Adsoka. Explored the Republic in better debt. Made the Mandalorians become more than a fancy suit worn by Bobba Fett.

I'm all for more Cad Bane and Goggins but why not have Goggins in addition to Bane. If they want to bring back Danny Trejo and give that character something to do with more depth then I would be fine with that as well. Also Captain Phasma isn't dead yet or ever if they plan to erase the Sequel trilogy. Not a fan of the Sequels but their is some characters within them that have potential.

Gimme a break, no one is "erasing" the sequels. Ever. Deal with it.

I'm sure someone making all those Terminator and Halloween sequels also thought the same. They will always do what they think is best for business. So unless they see value of doing more stories in the Sequel trilogy setting then what value does it offer them?

Makes more sense to clean house and create a new future. With new characters or using the old ones in different ways. Heck someday they will even remake the Classic movies but that is still along time away. I suspect because that is something that would totally break the fandom forever at this point. I'm just surprised they haven't already got them a multi-verse up and running so they can widen the type of stories they tell. Everyone has to have a multi-verse these days.

Daisy is beautiful, but the sequels sucked.

Po is beautiful, but the sequels sucked.

Rose is the most beautiful but the sequels sucked.

Fin would have been more beautiful with his natural British accent, but the sequels sucked.

Who says she's leaving soon?

No, Clone Wars added to the PT, it didn't remake it.

Yeah, no. The PT still sucks. Clone Wars added to it, tried to give us more flavor text, world building and details, expanding on characters and ideas presented in the PT. It didn't remake them at all.

But, thus far, what Mandalorian has done with the New Republic is show it as inefficient, overextended, and slow to respond.

I'd consider Kathryn Hahn of Agatha Harkness fame if they wanted to reintroduce her.

Doubt she'd do her own stunts though.
I love Kathryn Hahn. I'd love to see Kathryn Hahn play a snarky Star Wars character. I can't think of anyone less physically compatible to stepping into the Cara Dune role than Kathryn Hahn. Okay, that's not entirely true, but to paraphrase Sean Connery in The Rock, "Shee'sh not sort."

Hell, Captain Phasma turned out to be a dead end dud of a character, so give Gwendoline Christie a well-deserved lead in her own show (she was great in a smaller role in Wednesday recently). Granted, Christie is much taller than Carano is, but she's got the physically imposing presence thing down, and is a better actress, and far as I can tell, not an asshole.

The Direct? Ha! As with me winning the Lottery, I'll believe it when I see it.

but she's got the physically imposing presence thing down, and is a better actress, and far as I can tell, not an asshole.
Your Opinion. And many an asshole get work in Hollywood.

Or Discovery's Mary Chieffo
Id support this!

As said up the thread, you don't have to be 5'5" and skiny to act. More roles for taller, or Shorter ( Little people) more muscular, or just not fitting the "Mold" of the typical actress/actor.

Captain Phasma is a big reason I would love to see the Sequels sort of erased but not erased in the idea they never happened. I would like to see more of Captain Phasma and maybe a live action Storm Trooper show where she is either the lead or co-lead. Give her a new fate that doesn't end in a pointless death like she got in the sequels.

I realize that anecdotal evidence is no evidence at all, but I've read about younger fans for whom the Sequel Trilogy got them into Star Wars and made them fall in love with it, when none of it clicked with them before. Every part of this franchise holds meaning for someone, and there's plenty of room for all of it.

The screenwriter wrote this memorable albeit predictable episode of the ‘80s iteration of The Twilight Zone, so he’s been around a while. Weigh that for credibility.

I seem to recall something similar in Ronald Dahl’s Tales of the Unexpected series.

Yeah, but I just don't see where a guy who wrote a few episodes of TV (per IMDB) would be in a position to know about KK's contract.

Her death was awesome. Her vs. Finn was among my favorite scenes.

I would not mind seeing more of Phasma but calling her death pointless? Nah, she was a reflection of Finn's former life, and he killed it.

I could have done without the character in general but I guess she did provide the plot device which allowed the Resistance attack.

There's nothing more redundant, lazy, and trite than pointing out that what is obviously someone's opinion is their opinion. In my opinion. Just say you disagree, and the reason(s) why, if you feel compelled to do so, instead of stating the blindingly obvious like it's breaking news.

Yes, lots of assholes do get work in Hollywood, but since this particular transphobic asshole (IMO) couldn't keep her stupid trap (IMO) shut on Twitter despite working for a super-image-obsessed and diversity-friendly company and getting lots of helpful advice from her coworkers and friends and multiple chances to self-correct and still kept right on chugging along making the same ignorant, disrespectful comments (IMO), I just figured maybe next time it might be a good idea not to fill the position with an idiot (IMO) that doesn't have the basic adult skillset (IMO) to not repeatedly publicly say things that will force your employer to fire you right as you're about to get your own streaming TV spin-off from the hugely popular series you're already starring in. IN MY OPINION.

@Bad Father Christmas
Sorry if I offended..
Just me saying that there are others that work for Disney that, in my opinion, have erred worse on the socials, yet are still employed, because they are left leaning.
