car question...thanks in advance for helping

my car (automatic 1995 toyota corolla) was hesitating a bit when it needed to change gears automatically) now when I drive the batterly light came on and i need to restart.

Can anyone tell me if its the alternator?
battery?
transmission?

the battery light sometimes acts as a general trouble light so it could be
transmission.

i dont know much about that specific car.
there are places if you want to know more for future reference
some places like auto zone are helpful.

and i suspect soon some one more knowledgable here will be along.

I really don't know much about cars, but I had the exact same symptoms once in a '88 Chevy Beretta, and it turned out to be the computer screwing up. I hope it's something simpler in your case - that was kinda expensive to fix.

Take your car someplace like Autozone or Sears and have them check the charging system. The glowing battery light indicates that your battery is not being charged because there is some fault in the electrical system.
